I noticed that about halfway through the first quarter, a lions player threw their left leg in front of Gary Ablett while he was on the run. Did anyone pick up who the Lions player was? because I reckon if the Match Review Panel pick it up, He could be facing some time on the sidelines...:(

I couldn't see the actual trip (looked to be more a tangle of legs), but presumed it must have been against Banfield.

Reddan's tackle slipped down from around the waist.

Nothing in it IMHO.

5 weeks minimum.;)

The tackle slipped, but not enough for a trip, more a bit of a tangle and the bald mercenary tripped himself.

I replayed it a few times ...and yes it was Redden, however he was being pushed in the other direction at the time.
The bio-mechanics of this world will say he extended his leg to oppose the push to retain his balance.

Are you a QC?:D

Redden.

Tripping usually will only get you points.

Confirmed by someone listening to SEN, Redden can accept a reprimand and some points carryover for his trip.

In summary, he can accept a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record with an early plea.

Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the Gold Coast Suns, the incident was assessed as reckless conduct (two points), medium impact (two points) and body contact (one point).

This is a total of five activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Two offence, drawing 125 demerit points and a one-match sanction. He has no existing good or bad record.

An early plea reduces the sanction by 25 per cent to a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record.

not sure if any of you saw the trip by reimers but he got off after being reported. Just proves the AFL love protecting ablett.

So why was Swallows "spoil" on Raines not neglegent or whatever? Maybe we didn't file a medical report? Bloody farce!!

Yeah, surely the head is still sacrosanct? A little suspicious given it happened to our niggling tagger. Whilst Maguire's report last year was ridiculous, they appear to have over-compensated enormously (either that, or Swallow/GC are now protected species). Officially ropable.

My favourite part has to be him pointing back towards Redden just after he falls. Diving Princess Riewoldtesque.

Lol - didn't notice the point until you mentioned it - hilarious. :thumbsu:
