In all fairness that player could have politely said no. Laughing in someones face is a bit belittling. I can understand why the poster may have been a bit upset with that response. A simple "sorry mate but I can't" would have sufficed

Asking a player for anything more than an autograph or a photo, is opening yourself up for disappointment IMO.

It's blasphemy but I never warmed to Leon Davis. His performance in the 2002 Grand Final, albeit as a kid didn't do him any favours, and his shuthouse performance in the 2010 Grand a Final enraged me because I felt stark tn definitely deserved to be out there all things considered a hell of a lot more than him. Ironically I was at peace with Goldsack making the team ahead of Tarks the week after so so think it was more a reflection of the fact that I felt Davis was a wasted spot in what was to be potentially a premiership 22 rather than any huge overrating of Tarks.

Credit where credits due though, Leon did start to win me back during 2011, but it was too little too late and the whole fiasco re his signing at the end of the year quickly evaporated the tiny bit of repentance he had earned from me.

Glad to see the back of him.

2010 gf2 was fantastic. Felt sorry for Leon being dropped, wouldnt have made a difference who came in, the pies were on and were always gonna belt them that day.

Footballers have to be confident they play on the biggest stage in oz. There are always gonna be tossers who cant handle the fame and belittle the common folk. If theyre not affecting the club on an ongoing basis and provide potential for greatness who gives a crap if theyre diks or not.

John "Jack" Anthony. My children approached him and he totally ignored them. Tyson Goldsack saw what happened and came over and said hi.

Tyson looked confused as to why Jack would do something like that.

Jack had a hoodie on and dark sunglasses like he was some sort of celebrity that didn't want to be recognised. My friend and I heckled him for a bit and called him a loser which made us all feel better

I used to absolutely hate Guy Richards not because of his personality but because of how shit he was, I still think to this day that he is the biggest spud I have ever seen play in the AFL. I think it was the 2007 Preliminary Final where he had a kick for goal 40 metres out directly in front and he didn't even make the distance, I was so angry.
