They drafted Whitlock who could be that, but he will take 4 years to fill out.Ports forward line is ok. Lacks that full forward that can be the bulldozer role. Port needs that 200 cm kpf ruck in the goal square that can lure another tall defender.

Laird is barely best 22 these daysLaird is their best player, he's 31. Dawson will be 28, soon, that's not really youth. Same with Keays who is 28 on Sunday, he won their best and fairest, they're relying heavily on late 20s to early 30s players.
Thilthorpe wouldn't even be in their top 20, he missed a lot of footy and wasn't like a top tier ruck/forward in 2023. A cooked Charlie Dixon scored more goals and had a similar amount of hit outs with 7 less games played in 2023.
Watch Adelaide in round 1. You’ll see you’re way off.Laird is their best player, he's 31. Dawson will be 28, soon, that's not really youth. Same with Keays who is 28 on Sunday, he won their best and fairest, they're relying heavily on late 20s to early 30s players.

That's gonna be the difference. Whitlock could be anything but again , I don't see Georgiadis or Marshall being that big strong full forward. They drafted Whitlock who could be that, but he will take 4 years to fill out.

How did Laird go in the middle tonight....Laird is their best player, he's 31. Dawson will be 28, soon, that's not really youth. Same with Keays who is 28 on Sunday, he won their best and fairest, they're relying heavily on late 20s to early 30s players.

Best thing Lord did was the long set shot from 50 I've never seen him hit a kick for goal sweetly from that distance before, he's got a chance of making a career if he sorts out his kicking.. still a slow burn project type. How did Laird go in the middle tonight....
Can you even name me the Adelaide midfielders lol.
Clearly you don't even watch us!
Any ways, this thread is about forward lines & Thilthorpe looked dangerous with 3 goals in the 3 quarters he played on.Allir.
Port played a smaller forward line. Georgiades is a good player, but strange they didn't use Lord much. Not convinced Lukosius is the answer.
Well of course that would be your response every player at Port is shit am I right?Unfortunately i think his floaters will remain his specially.
Sorry I read it as Laird... my bad. Will delete.Well of course that would be your response every player at Port is shit am I right?
I'd be lying if Lord never kicked floaters either lolSorry I read it as Laird... my bad. Will delete.
I rate Lord!
Yep, but he looks most likely to replace Dixon imo. Just needs to sort out his easier set shots for goal.I'd be lying if Lord never kicked floaters either lol
I want him to play smart though Dixon was a dumb arse player & it was a predictable bore that defenders worked out easily for the most part.Yep, but he looks most likely to replace Dixon imo. Just needs to sort out his easier set shots for goal.
Then why is he the Crows top disposal/clearance player by over 100 disposals and over 20 clearances in 2024?Laird is barely best 22 these days
You mean the scratch match? Scratch matches don't mean much, ie Carlton 2005. Also, if Laird is on the way out, that proves my point more they're going to have a declining squad due to underdeveloped youth midfielders who should be the ones with the highest stats in the midfield. It's like 4/5 midfielders in their late 20s/early 30s with the highest disposals/clearances. That means the youth aren't pulling their weight there. How did Laird go in the middle tonight....![]()
Already have, checked the key stats, too.Can you even name me the Adelaide midfielders lol.
Because I cite the 2024 stats and it's contrarian to you? You're trying to deflect instead of looking at the stats.Clearly you don't even watch us!
The forward line is more balanced with under 25 players pulling their weight, but it suffers due to the aging midfield.Any ways, this thread is about forward lines & Thilthorpe looked dangerous with 3 goals in the 3 quarters he played on.Allir.

You can't argue with the stats.Stop embarrassing yourself mate.
Dawson is 28, Crouch is 30, this year, that proves my point. And 2024, Laird at 30 was an inside midfielder with the most disposals/clearances, what's to argue with that correct stat? It shows the younger guys aren't carrying the midfield. Why are you acting overly serious because I bring up stats? Well see in September if the Crows somehow make finals with the exact same reliance on veterans, even though that hasn't worked in years for them.Laird no longer plays in the midfield as he has returned to defence.
You would know that if you actually watched us yesterday. Dawson, Soligo, Crouch & Peatling were our main inside midfielders. Rankine will join them when he returns.
Stop trying to pretend you know my club!
The Crows fans will be happy enough if they win the Showdowns just like they are doing cartwheels over a match sim.Dawson is 28, Crouch is 30, this year, that proves my point. When you keep giving away your best players it helps. The Crows fans will be happy enough if they win the Showdowns just like they are doing cartwheels over a match sim.
lol the very glassiest of glass houses. When you keep giving away your best players it helps.
Crows losing players is a thing of the past!lol the very glassiest of glass houses.
BookmarkedCrows losing players is a thing of the past!
That’s just one scratch match, where effort levels and structures are all over the place, doesn’t prove a genuine transition, a real midfield transition isn’t shown in one practice game, it’s reflected over a full season with younger players consistently stepping up and leading the key stats. Until that happens, it’s just wishful thinking.Did you watch the game yesterday?
Midfield consisted of:
Soligo BOG. He's 2021 draft.
Peatling. 24.
Crouch. 30.
Dawson. 27.
Draper. 18.
Laird played half back.
Rankine didn't play. He's 25.
You're just plain wrong. Players change positions from year to year, and you can actually trade and draft players.
That's what Adelaide have done and the mix is drastically different to 2024, so you can't just ignore it.
