I would take Pavlich over any KP combo West Coast can throw up.

why isn't Pav in the poll? afraid of losing?

Nope, based on a debate Hoogs is having with the Eagles fans where he reckons the combination of Murphy & Johnson are better then Hunter and Lynch

Pavlich isn't even a part of this discussion

If you are gonna compare KPP why not the best

Freo Pav, McPharlin & Tarrant

WC Glass, Hunter & Lynch

I know which I would be taking

Again read the posts, the debate was over Murphy and Johnson, not McPharlin, Pavlich, Tarrant or Glass

The point hoogs is saying is Murphy & Johnson, are better then Hunter and Lynch.

hence the pool with only those 4 players

It's a pathetic poll and has correctly been called for being pathetic.

Tell that to Hoogs, who insists that Murphy and Johnson are better than Lynch and Hunter and no amount of logic will sway him from that.

Way to support your team BTW.:thumbsu:

Dumb logic that I've come to expect from most of the peanuts on BF.

All teams have idiot supporters. West Coast are no different. No good can come out of backing up idiots.

The sensible logic that seems to disappear from these boards. Especially when it comes to Freo vs West Coast discussions.

Despite how I've voted (which is more a testiment to the stupidity of this poll that I'd rather throw my vote away with a biased call than make the right one) Lynch and Hunter would be the better two at this point. However that may change at the end of 2007. Either Johnson and Murphy will flourish (especially with the inclusion of Tarrant he can develop as a Third Tall forward) or Daylight can replace Johnson and Murphy.

Id rather the doggies' johnson and murphy, however with that said it seems a little unfair to compare lynch with ryan murphy (who isnt freo's best forward like lynch is for the eagles. Should have been comparing pav vs lynch (best vs best). Johnson is good but Hunter by a long shot.

Not the most hard hitting Poll I have seen.

Trying to compare 2 x 100+ gamers with a 24 gamer (Murphy ) and a 39 game player (Johnson).

Completely different stages of their careers.

Whil Murphy has a bit of work to do , there is little doubt that Johnson is light years ahead of where Lynch & Hunter (particularly) were when they had 39 games.

Interestingly, the poll is a lot closer than I would have thought.

I would assume that it is the almost superstar Johnson who is swinging the votes Freo's way a bit.

Can anyone think of another player that has come equal 2nd (tied with Peter Bell & only 3 votes behind Pav) in a F&B with only 39 games in the bank?

just shows how far the talent drops after Pavlich ;)

Judd was 3rd in his first season, 2nd in year 2 (~45 odd games)

Kerr 2nd in 2002 (2nd year) came runner up but with 40ish games

both were only 18 and 19 at the tho, not ~22 like Johnson

Buckley was runner up in his first season at the bears and won in his second season in the AFl at the pies. I don't think he debuted in the AFL until he was 21 tho so that could explain it.
