Probably Sydney because the two lists are close and Sydney have less money tied up in their young players.

Worpel is still a second year draftee but the other 4 would eat up $2m+. Heeney would be on a decent contract but the rest not a great deal.

Moving forward Hawthorn in a better position to bring in players from other teams based on recent years, Sydney already able to add Blakey, Heeney, Mills without paying market value on draft day.

In 14/15 Sydney got Heeney and Mills. Hawthorn traded for O'Rourke then got Lovell and Burton. It's a fair free kick to the Swans when both teams were top sides.
Heeney, Jones, Hayward, Florent, Papley... I would much rather Mitchell, Sicily, Worpel, O'Meara, Wingard..

Clearly you have a very loose definition of what a kid is.

Fancy listing 25 and 26 year olds as kids.

Hawks fans are the worst at overrating their youth. It's like a defence mechanism against all the shit they've copped from topping up and ignoring the draft.

Listing players like Mitchell, O'Meara, Impey & Wingard as 'kids' and having the temerity to suggest O'Brien, Hardwick, Hanrahan, Nash & Scrimshaw are A-grade.

And fancy listing Cogs...lol that didn't age well for Procrastinator35.

Absolutely delusional.

Hardwick is legit an A grade small forward, he is one of the best in the game at that position at the moment. It isn't flashy and he is never going to be winning Brownlows but he is a strong 1 on 1 player and a very nice kick. Scrimshaw is very very promising but still need to see more before going near calling him an A grader.

Anyone calling Nash an A grade player has rocks in their head.

Hardwick and Worpel are genuine young stars. The rest of Hawthorn's kids (under 22, not 25+ and played 6-7 seasons already like Procrastinator35 wants to claim) haven't shown much if you're being completely rational. Lewis may get there, Scrimshaw also. But every club has kids that may or may not develop.

Now that Lance Franklin is cooked but still due to be paid $1.4m+ for the next two seasons, Sydney's position is starting to look quite precarious. Particularly when you consider they'll be stuck with John Longmire during that period - ask many Swans how they feel about his gamestyle and their reaction is liable to be about as positive as Tom Papley's who won't be there next year. Sydney really needs to secure Daniher and hope he magically stays fit or it'll be a long time until they're challenging again, Academy or not.

Unlikely Sydney would be going so hard after Daniher if Buddy wasn't cooked.

Who knows

Guess we will see , can’t pretend it’s not possible he is stuffed

I think even in best case scenario they need to manage him better

Probably a fair call.

Can't see Buddy ever playing a full 22 Home and Away game season again. Will be 'rested' every 3 or 4 weeks, much like Carlton does with Kreuzer.

They'd be very keen to have his $1.5 million wage wiped off their books over the next 3 years.....Good luck getting Buddy to accept it though.
