Bluey McKenna by far. I can still picture Cousins running down the middle of Subiaco Oval and passing a beauty to McKenna who marks with the whole crowd cheering him. To kick the goal and watching the boys run from everywhere to congradulate him was a very special moment. Then the lap of honour, hardly a dry eye on the crowd - an absolute champion to the club and to the game of AFL!
Fraser Brown a gentleman, that's the funniest thing I've ever heard. What a laugh.
That's like saying Tony Liberatore is a clean player who never breaks the rules or Wayne Carey isn't arrogant.
Guy McKenna is a gentleman and will be sadly missed by everyone.
I personally miss Stewart Loewe. What??? He hasn't retired??? By the looks of his form and fitness I thought he had. LOL!! Hopefully Blighty will have him retiring mid-season or before if we're lucky.
Jesus, I answer one question honestly then everyone starts to cry me down. I don't mind people arguing with me, if they know what they are talking about, but in this case you don't. At the risk of repeating myself, don't judge someone you don't know and don't judge someone on a reputation that is superficial.
would have to agree with you on mckenna....
great evasive skill and seemed to have so much time, never seemed to make a mistake.
so frustrating for supporters of other clubs.
and a great guy to boot - no pun intended...
Being a Doggies fan i would have to say Scott Wynd Steven Kolynuik and Daniel Southern all of them were absolute champions for the club and will be sadly missed.A special memtion to Paul Salmon who is a champion and will be missed by everyone and not just bombers and hawks supporters.
Didn't realise Gavin Brown was retiring - I'd add him to my list too.
As to Fraser Brown, well if he is such a gentlemen off field why did he get done for tax evasion.
Sounds like he learnt his onfield violence from Rhys Jones & G.Williams, and his ethical business practices from the President & well G.Williams again...
Oh so, now you are an expert on the minor tax evasion too are you? I said he was a gentleman, not a brilliant business man!
As for the on field violence, he may have done somethings that were not very nice. But I have yet to see him hit someone in the throat while another team mate held him, so he couldn't fight back. Don't talk to me about Fraser Brown when you have Dean Wallis in your side!
Mugs,
Brain evasion is obviously compulsory with you. Do you want to back up that statement you made about Fraser being a crook? And do you also want to stop pissing me off?
BTW, I suppose from your post you are also the moron who is unregistered under Thug?
I did used to be a senior corporate tax advisor for a big 5 accounting firm 4 or 5 years ago so, erm, yes Bee, I am kinda an expert on tax....
Secondly, no-one on this board is suggesting Dean Wallis is not a thug (skilled nonetheless) but then again NO-ONE is suggesting Wallis is "a gentleman" (!) - it would be, well as pathetically tunnel visioned as to suggest F.Brown is a gentleman.. and THEN actually express surprise when ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE thinks you're a loony
(!!).
Dutchy
PS. Actually I'm led to believe Deano actually a really nice bloke off the field and a devoted family man - but I WOULD NEVER be stupid enough to call him gentlemanly....
Firstly Dutchman, I did not ask if you were an expert on tax. I asked if you were an expert on the tax evasion that Fraser was charged with, expect for the crap you read in the media.
Secondly I do not know Dean Wallis, nor do I want to know him, so I don't know if he is a gentleman or not. But if you were to tell me he was I wouldn't try to dispute it. Do you know Fraser Brown? No? Then don't sit in judgment of him or a superficial reputation.
well from other clubs the fish not only agreat player but a gentleman to boot
guy mckenna i always admired his on field expliots
as for the tiges scotty turner for sheer loyalty to the club and never ever took a backward step.
i wish them all well in whatever their futures are
cheers!
