Fremantle just ahead of Adelaide. Fremantle showed no real signs last year of what they have produced so far this season. With adelaide, they were very good last year and after their first final, they were looking like pushing the saints and geelong into the Grand Final. Not many would have expected this but their injuries have hit hard. Carlton at 8 - 6 is no real surprise as they showed dramatic imporvement last year and have continued that form in the first half of the season. Also it isnt such a big surprise that the lions are at 5 - 9. Their trading plan was always going to be a risky option if injuries hit as their lack of depth would be uncovered. This is what has happened this year aswell as inconsistent form from Fevola.
