So the Crows have added 4 new players to the squad during the 2015 trade week. Which of the 4 players do you think will have the biggest impact in 2016?

Personally, I think Seedsman will have the biggest impact of the four.

I don't expect Gore to play that many games and Menzel may take a little time to work his way into a spot in the forward line. Hampton I don't know too much about.

Hampton = McLeod like
Menzel = wingard like

why don't we just let them develop their own idenity and judge them on that. Then when they don't meet those lofty expectations, we get annoyed and labble them duds. Give them a break for a moment.

I agree with this. Let them make their own mark.

Menzel should flourish with a better fwd line around him than he had at Carlton.

Midfield you mean?

The midfield will get it into the forward line far more often, with greater precision and accuracy.

With a better midfield and winning more of the ball will lead to more opportunities and that will then allow him to grow as a player.

I don't think Charlie Cameron would have developed as much as he has with a weak midfield.

No, I mean forward line. All valid points about the midfield which I agree with but the better quality forward line should help him too.

Tex, Eddie & JJ all taking reasonable defenders away from him. Our Forward line is pretty unselfish too so will help bring him in to games more. Overall I think he will flourish not being in a bottom dwelling side.

Gore managed 3rd in the Geelong VFL B&F despite missing 7 games, I think he could be a strong Magarey Medal chance next year.

Reckon Seed will make the biggest impact in '16, but will then drop off to the depth pile after that. Hampton and Menzel I see becoming great players for us. Potentially Gore, too.

This could be a discussion in a thread, all by itself.

What do you need - a good forward line or a good midfield?

Carlton didn't have a very good midfield, meaning the ball never got down to the forwards as often as it should.

I think we have a better football department than Carlton and GWS so should be able to get more out of Menzel and Hampton than they have shown so far. Collingwood have a good if not better football department though so I think there might be less improvement in Seedsman.
