Or its a bad sign.

Its the same argument we have every bloody preseason about who makes our best 22.

We have so many mediocre options that people wrongly confuse our lack of talent with an abundance of depth.

Lets be real here. All four players weren't considered best 22 options at their old clubs (all of which finished below us on the ladder).

In the draft period we have not secured a single player who would be an automatic walk up start in our 2015 side. We have replaced our best and fairest winner and best player with 4 players who could be above average.

From what I've seen, all four have more talent and natural ability than at least 6-8 players in our best 22 and that is a conservative estimate at best. Getting the best out of them is e challenge the coaching department face, which on recent form shouldn't be that hard.
Weighing it up, I'd rather 4 above average players who fit this particular age demographic, to one single superstar.

Gore will surprise as much if not More than Charlie Did in his first year I feel.

2016 Hampton due to his X factor, closely followed by the Seeeeeed.

2017 Menzel and Hampton

2018 Gore Gore will be pivotal in the midfield once Thommo is gone and Douglas is on his last legs.

You may have something with bolded. Certainly we have a bunch (6-8)of players who do not have outstanding individual attributes and are thus middle-of-the-road footballers. Here's hoping the four draftees can each bring their particular skill/s to the team and lift our performance. If so, the challenge facing the coaches will be one of maintaining their consistency.

If Seedsman can take Smith's spot then he will get game time. We also need to figure out what to do with the resting mid if Menzel plays given that we have fewer rotations next year.
Play 2 midfielders off the bench now we have 4 on the bench.

Also we have forwards who can have the occasional run on the ball.
