Meh, there is a difference between the two players.

Jordan Russell is 'soft' and hasn't shown much improvement in the years he's been at Carlton.

Hislop though was a very highly rated talented, who apparently just had an 'attitude' problem ...

Anyone who has gone and told Matthew knights to %$# off (which Hislop did apparently at training once) is allright in my book.

If you can sort out his 'behaviour' issues, Hislop would be a better bet at like pick 60 plus then an untried kid IMHO ...

I'd hate to see an talent like Hislop slip from the AFL system, because he has an perceived 'attitude' problem.

Seems hypocritical as well Essendon cutting him from the list, but keeping an psycho woman-basher in Andrew Lovett ..

Hislop is the only "category two" player in the pool the national draft, meaning that he is the sole player to have nominated terms and conditions that must be met by the club that selects him.

Hislop's terms are for a two-year contract and more than the minimum base payments

That's a terrific attitude from someone who has played just three games and shown less than Chris Johnson.

But Hislop is tough, so he's a must get...

I hope we don't pick Hislop.
