There are so many rumours with players moving around this trade period and in particular the number of Crows players who have been mentioned. Its so confusing. So I thought that I would create a list of who is/or rumoured, to be leaving the club. I will update this list as the trade period unfolds.

Those who have retired/forced to retire
OTTENS - RETIRED
HUNTER - DELISTED
DOUGLAS - FORCED RETIREMENT

Those who have offically requested a trade
GREENWOOD - GONE received his longer term contract. Traded for Future 3rd and 4th rounder
CEY - GONE not a happy chappy. Has decided to invoke his Free Agency. Will move to Brisbane. We receive comp pick 48. now 49
BETTS - GONE Loves Teague, wants his family in Melb for personal reasons. We receive a future 4th rounder but we will pay some of his salary
JACOBS - GONE Advised club he will take free agency to move to GWS. Traded for future 4th round pick. Maintains his love for the club.
JENKINS - GONE Is pissed with the club, willing to take a pay cut. Traded to Geelong for pick 37. We will pay part of his wage plus we gave a future 3rd.
KEATH - GONE wants a long term contract. Club cant justify oher wise he would stay. Traded for pick 45 and a future 2nd. We also give a future 3rd round.
KNIGHTS - DID NOT HAPPEN wanted to move to Carlton or the Swans.

Rumours that have not been confirmed.
SMITH - was looking to move to Brisbane. DID NOT HAPPEN
LAIRD - was supposively going to Essendon or Hawthorn. DID NOT HAPPEN
B CROUCH - linked to the Suns..............} M Barlow has suggested the Crouch boys should be traded to the Suns for picks 1 & 2 or maybe Pick 2 and Luco
M CROUCH - linked to his brothers move.} Luko. DID NOT HAPPEN

Other changes
PIKE - HAS RESIGNED from the club. He initiated his resignation and was not pushed out by the club.
BURTON - SACKED
CAMPOREALE - SACKED
WALKER - RELINQUISHED CAPRAINCY

Jenkins - Is pi**ed with the club and is willing to take a pay cut to move to another club. Rumoured to be passing info onto the media and some say he is a toxic influence.
Jacobs - has advised the club that he will take free agency to move onto GWS. Has expressed his love for the club.

Rumours that have not been confirmed.

So the club is in crisis, there is an exodus so the media say. There are a total of 14 players rumoured to be leaving all of whom the media suggests are pi**ed off with the club. So far:
3 have been retired or delisted
6 want a contract that the club believes is to long. Of those six, 4 would have stayed but 2 appear to really want out...Betts, Jenkins.
5 are still rumours.

So much for the media pushing their own agenda that the club is a no go zone. Most of these departures have been initiated by the club.

Betts wasn't asking for a two year contract, he already has one. He is leaving because of the terrible way the club has dealt with the players over the last two years.

As far as I was aware, there has been no official statement from the club regarding Betts yet. Can anyone confirm?

I think Betts is contracted till end of 2020... I really hope the club doesnt pay part of his contract if he leaves. I'd prefer to see him play 15 of the 22 games for the crows and send him out the right way, with a goodbye tour and thanks for the memories legend.

No that's not true either.

He's leaving allegedly for a few reasons including from what we've heard not likely to be first 22 next year and family issues.

That will happen as we progress. Its just that there are so many rumours that are floating around. Like the one today about Knights. So I will keep the list updated and hopefully it will be accurate.
 
I worked in their club rooms not long ago doing some Telecoms stuff, seemed very clinical and bland in there to say the least. No nice vibe to it. Maybe if they move the rooms to Adelaide it will reinvigorate the atmosphere. I've heard many of the people in the club also dislike Burton, not many there that like him.

If that is true then for me as a supporter I find that extremely sad. Eddie has been idolised by the supporter base. We have all embraced him and what he has tried to do regarding racialism. He has a pocket named after him. I just find it hard to accept that Eddie hates the AFC.

If Burton is moved on he will be added to the above summary very quickly :)

Youre a newbie so Im going to take what you said about being there on face value, its just so damning if what you say is true how in f**k can a guy like this remain at the Club.

Surely if the review allows for anonymous feedback, Burton's name is raised.

Just because supporters idolise him doesn’t imply that he likes the way the club is being run. Like any work environment your happiness revolves around the culture, management and how the organisation operates. It is clear that the club has serious internal issues and I am sure this is why there is a mass exodus underway. Personally I think the whole demanding long contracts issue is just an easy way for players to exit the AFC. The review will achieve nothing, Chapman, Fagan, Roo, Burton, Hart and Campo will come out smelling like roses.

This...if so many of our players and people dislike a guy how can he be kept on? I’ve worked in much bigger organisations and when this happens, eventually, eventually the person is moved on. And here we are talking about “staff” who are direct reports/directly associated with the guy. It’s a completely different business.

I don’t understand, if your number 1 product/resources (the players) are unable to perform at their peak because of seriously dislike for a person, in a business where morale and cohesion is important, they could keep said person on. Not to mention your outside staff disliking the guy too.

It baffles me.

Imagine if the "guy" is best mates with the CEO ad higher ups. You also assume the number 1 product/resources is the players in the clubs eyes...
