Who to replace Starc?

Now I'm presuming that we'll see Pattinson in for Starc. That's all well and good, but there's a need for another quick bowler in the squad. Trouble is, who?

I think Behrendorff deserves a chance. Either he or Pattinson.

I wouldn't be against Mennie making his debut either... we're certainly not bereft of talent in the fast bowling stakes that's for sure.

Behrendorff isn't fit

We have a great battery of quicks - they are all just short of a gallop unfortunately

Personally I'd go with Bird as he has the most cricket and form under his belt.

I wasn't aware mate, I haven't had the chance to catch up with the Shield, and I lost interest after the farcical points Victoria received in that washout in Sydney... yes I'm a NSW supporter, and yes it was a farcical decision.

I also like Rainbird... been a big fan and I'm unsure as to how he's travelling. Has some talent.

Jackson Bird would be my choice. He is in great form at the moment and has done well at the top level in Australia. Bird can bowl tightly but can still swing the ball making him a dangerous wicket taking bowler.

McDermott talked up Coultier-Nile this morning on the ABC. He also spoke of his preference for guys that can bowl above 140. Which is odd given the success of Hazelwood in this test at around the mid 130s.

I'd be tempted to go with a left armer, so I would pick Faulkner in the XI ahead of Siddle as well as replacing Starc with Pattinson. Then I would move Nevill up to 6, bat Faulkner at 7 and M. Marsh at 8.
