There is not a single player on Hawthorns list that has 1/3rd the impact on a game that Nick Daicos does. If pies dont finish top 4 and make a prelim this year they are wasting the next GOAT.

It isn't a question of 'impact on a game'.

The problem for Collingwood is that Nick Daicos is so significantly better (and more impactful) than any other player on the list, that it looks like his performance 'impacts' games. In reality, the Pies just have very few other players that can sway the result of a game and its left to Daicos to provide the spark.
De Goey (when he isn't injured), and Houston (who only just joined the club) are the only other gamebreakers on the list that aren't in the twilight of their careers.

Conversely, Hawthorn has a much more even top end. Newcombe, Day, Sicily and Moore all capable of swinging a game, with youngsters like MacDonald, Weddle and even Watson not far behind.

Geez...I didn't know Bobby Hill was so old?

Why do some pies fans use unmeasurable statements like they are fact

Prove It, or you just look stupid
sure

Nick Daicos is a premiership player and has gotten more brownlow votes in his first three years than any VFL/AFL player ever.

Who on the Hawks is even close to that air?

Pies have had a stacked team for ages especially in the backline

Think you are forgetting a certain Jamie ****ing Elliot who has some of the most clutch moments of any AFl player EVER.

Dont sleep on crisp, just watch his goals in the 23 GF and know that he has been clutch like that for years people have just not paid attention.

N.DAICOS is simply the no #1 player in the afl and if there was a competition wide draft right now every single team would draft him first.

I’d personally draft JHF. He is a bull and has barely scratched the surface, but it’s great to get such an unbiased take on Collingwood players from you, “DaicosDisciple”.

Bobby Hill?

Nick Watson has already surpassed him at 19 years of age.
Yes, it took Bobby 5 seasons to average 1.37 goals a game.

Wiz bettered that in his 1st season

Not what you said, not a worthwhile stat either, when he hasn't won one

So he won the same amount of brownlows on Hawthorn's team

Try again

Jamie Elliot - 32 years old
Jack Crisp - 31 years old

Both in the twilight of their career.

Reading comprehension is clearly not your strong suit.

on a non meme answer it is very concerning to have young stars not living an elite AFL life style, its what sets people like Pendles and Daicos apart. So many AFL stars fall off quickly or are unable to play out the crucial moments in finals games because they dont do 100% prep.

Daicos leaves no stone unturned in preperation and thats obvious when hes playing. Sam Mitchell can only be cool dad for so long until the lack of prep and poor work ethic of his young team comes back to bite them.

You should tell me more about how good Collingwood are at everything…

They are a recent premier with the undisputed best player in the comp at 22 years old, the best coach and clearly the best club cluture in the comp. Hawks are hardly a starved of success club. When did Hawks fans start accepting less than the best?

Sam Mitchell going soft has taken its toll clearly....

Needs more hyperbole.

Nitpicking while providing zero argument for why I am wrong is typical of the diminished Hawks culcha
Feel free to shitpost as much as you want, champion.

Yeah, of course you would...

And I'd draft Matt Owies over Nick Watson, so stick that in your pipe and smoke it!
Dumb post.

JHF is a legitimate gun. Making out like he’s some 4th stringer is stupid.

He plays like Voss did, he’s tough as hell, he’s going to be a brute, he kicks goals and he has some shit on his liver.

I’d take him 1st every day of the week.

JHF is already washed and on his second team. Has no big finals games and pulls his socks up like a total campaigner. He looks like a bull because hes slow. Daicos doesnt even get into a contest because by the time his oppo notices him hes already 15m ahead of them and racked up 3 disposals and a goal.

No doubt he'll be a brute, but he's a long way behind Daicos, and Nick is only just getting started too....

Nick's been arguably the best player in the comp over the past two seasons. Where would JHF rank over that time, given he's the same age?
