Just wondering who will pick up Lance Franklin this weekend, Rutten seems like the obvious choice but does he has the pace to go with Buddy all day?

Why focus just on Lance Buddy Franklin? Hawthorn have got more talls on their list that you guys should be worrying about.
Because he's the pick of the bunch and the one most likely to hurt us.
Rutten should play FB regardless (unless there is only a small to match up on).
That would leave either Stevens or Bock on Franklin, assuming he plays across HF.
Even if you cover Buddy, Roughy and co will still beat you.
Yeah right.Rutten should play on Sewell.

If Rutten goes with Franklin, who will grab Roughead?
We have suffered a big blow with Boyle being injured, so unfortunatly the box set up will probably be smaller unless Thorp comes in to debut.
We could see a Mcleod vs Bateman match up which would line up as a fast flowing contest between the two.
You never know. Sewelly has kicked a few goals. Not many but when he does kick at goal he is pretty good.Yeah right.![]()
Depending where Franklin starts will indicate whether Ben gets him. I don't ever wan't to see Ben stray to far from the D50 again. We're lost down there without him.

Crows are also coming off a 6 day break, rain would help us though. It looks like rain on Saturday night in Adelaide so it could even these two sides up. Hawks will be coming off a torrid encounter with the Pies and only 6 days rest. I expect Neil Craig to play a high possession game and try and use the last half to come over us.
Regardless of who plays on Buddy, its the midfield supply that matters. If Hawks get more than 50% of the clearances expect them to win. If Adelaide can pinch 60% they will probably win it.
Should be a good game. Good luck to the Crows![]()
