I pinched this from the main board (thanks Mead) and I thought it would be interesting to see your opinions on this matter

Last minute of the game, and your team is down by 2pts. You move it into your forward line for one last shot. Who from your side would you want to take the kick from

a.)after the siren, set shot 20m out, very very acute angle.
b.)dying seconds hard against the behind post being slung around with three defenders hanging onto you.
c.)after the siren, set shot, 45m out directly in front
d.)last few seconds, on the run from 30m, 45 degree angle
e.)last few seconds, on the run from 50m
f.)after the siren, set shot 55m out.

lastly, if it was last few seconds, 25m out, running into an open goal, who would you *NOT* want to have the ball?

Here are my choices:

a) Chris Ladhams or Tyson Edwards
b) Chris Ladhams or Tyson Edwards
c) Mark Ricciuto
d) Andrew McLeod or Tyson Edwards
e) Tough one. Probably Tyson Edwards or Chris Ladhams, on a good day Goody is a chance.
f) This one is the toughest. Who can kick it accurately 55m from a set shot. McGregor or Biglands can make the distance but who could we pick. Probably McGregor

Lastly, would say Ian Perrie as he is not a good kick on the run, neither is Biglands or Clarke for that matter.

Well I might as well re-post exactly what I put on the main board...

A) After the siren, set shot 20m out, very very acute angle.
Chris Ladhams (that Wizard Cup goal against Port sticks in my mind :D)

B) Dying seconds hard against the behind post being slung around with three defenders hanging onto you.
Andrew McLeod - for his evasive skills, or maybe Burton or Ladhams for pure arse

C) After the siren, set shot, 45m out directly in front.
Matthew Bode - superb set shot

D) last few seconds, on the run from 30m, 45 degree angle.
Andrew McLeod - nails important goals on the run

E) Last few seconds, on the run from 50m.
Simon Goodwin - big left foot kick on the run (that Wizard Cup 9-pointer against Port sticks in my mind :D)

F) After the siren, set shot 55m out.
Mark Ricciuto - good set shot, can kick long

G) Lastly, if it was last few seconds, 25m out, running into an open goal, who would you *NOT* want to have the ball?
Martin Mattner - very unbalanced kick on the run

Here are my choices!!!

a.)after the siren, set shot 20m out, very very acute angle.

Chris Ladhams, has been snagging them from everywhere this year.

b.)dying seconds hard against the behind post being slung around with three defenders hanging onto you.

Brett Burton - has the nack of getting these on the goal line.

c.)after the siren, set shot, 45m out directly in front

Roo - very reliable set shot.

d.)last few seconds, on the run from 30m, 45 degree angle

Andrew McLeod - followed by the famous finger twirl

e.)last few seconds, on the run from 50m

Simon Goodwin - love him running into the 50

f.)after the siren, set shot 55m out.

Rhett Biglands - can kick these.

lastly, if it was last few seconds, 25m out, running into an open goal, who would you *NOT* want to have the ball?

Mattner, Biglands, Clarke, Perrie, Begley, the list is endless, and they're pretty much as bad as each other.

I was just thinking, in the good old days, I probably would have put D. Jarman for every single one (yes, even the set shots).

I have to answer Ben Marsh, because he's the answer to any "bad" question (and now someone has to refer to David Gallagher). In truth, any of the ruckmen.

Clarkey is my answer to this!

LOL - when will the David Gallagher jokes end???? This boy was harshly treated (and NO I was not a fan :)) Let him live out his footy career in the VFL - not even Carlton wanted him!!!

A) After the siren, set shot 20m out, very very acute angle.

Chris Ladhams - has to be.

B) Dying seconds hard against the behind post being slung around with three defenders hanging onto you.

Brett Burton - can do both the freak and silly things.

C) After the siren, set shot, 45m out directly in front.

Wayne Carey - has done it before. A fit Scotty Welsh very good as well.

Ronnie Burns - this is his bread and butter.

E) Last few seconds, on the run from 50m.

Andrew McLeod - this is his specialty.

F) After the siren, set shot 55m out.
Mark Ricciuto. Best long shot in the team.

G) Lastly, if it was last few seconds, 25m out, running into an open goal, who would you *NOT* want to have the ball?
Rhett Biglands!!! Scary stuff!! :D

Tyson Ewards is clearly Adelaide's best shot at goal on a consistent level.

Outside 50 he doesn't really shoot from there so that would have to be Roo

For the arsey snaps it has to be Ladhams.

James Begley is the worst, but Sturt will have to worry about that this week me thinks.

) After the siren, set shot 20m out, very very acute angle.

A kindred spirit...

Let's gang up on Stiffy18 :D

Yeah I must say, I found McGregor to be a strange choice there from Stiffy. Remember that crucial miss against Hawthorn? Not the one on the siren, the one where we were about 8-9 points up at the time, mid-way through the last quarter. It was about a 50m shot, but into the wind it was the equivalent of 55m, not much of an angle either.

That said, I don't McGregor is the worst shot, but he's certainly not the best.

a.)after the siren, set shot 20m out, very very acute angle.
Ladhams or Burton...

b.)dying seconds hard against the behind post being slung around with three defenders hanging onto you.
Roo, he's push thru

Perrie (on a good day)

d.)last few seconds, on the run from 30m, 45 degree angle

e.)last few seconds, on the run from 50m
Edwards or McLeod

f.)after the siren, set shot 55m out.

Ricciuto from Welsh, Edwards & Carey

That's pretty harsh. I don't remember Negri or Dudsborough ever getting a kick for Adelaide, so how do we know how they could kick on the run? :D
