Has anyone else noticed that all our Rorys are slowly disappearing. Despite never appearing on our injury list during the pre-season, Rory Laird has yet to have a kick in anger. Occasionally a short stocky guy that resembles him is sighted running laps of Max Basheer but is this the real Rory Laird?

Then there's the little RAT (Rory Atkins). Looked promising all be it a touch on the skinny side last pre-season. Not a single report on him from our training reporters and not sighted in the trial matches, not even for the Ravens. Once again, not on our injury list so he must just have better things to do.

What really concerns me is that watching the internet vision from the GWS game it seemed that our most precious Rory was also slowly slipping away. What can we do to stop this? Can we find the missing Rorys?

I definitely don't know anything about this.......

Sloane was stuffed due to rotations being limited
Laird, I thought I saw him listed as an adductor strain
Atkins I thought played the SANFL trial ?

Rory Atkins was not listed in the squad to play Sturt and no-one mentioned him in their reports on the game.

Similar story with Kyle Hartigan, didn't play last weekend but not mentioned on the injury list.

Has our "good" run with soft tissue injuries this year been mostly that we haven't listed those players on the injury lists (B. Crouch, Laird, Atkins, Hartigan etc)? It's a bit harder to ignore broken legs :(.

Did anyone actually see Atkins at the family day (I was spending some quality time with my partner and non footy friends before doing a Rory for the next 6 months)?

Read somewhere hartigan missed with I think hamstring soreness but wasnt expected to be unavailable rd 1.

I asked Phil Harper at the AO training day about Atkins. He said he had adductor tightness on the Monday leading up to the reserves trial game. I saw him walking around with a slight limp. He said he'll be right for their 2nd reserves trial game on 22nd. Good news. Looking forward to watching him this year. Has an elite leg, although his upper body is looking pretty thin still.

To be honest I have my doubts about Rory of the Atkins clan. Getting left in the dust of other youngsters.

Don't forsake this Rory, for he shall surprise us all with his ability. His name will feature in the bests for the reserves more often than you'd think.

I hope your right and will be very happy if I am very wrong about him. If he doesnt do anything to impress this year, and we have a few of our rookies stand up like we think they will, I cant see him getting another contract. 2014 is make or break for him.

Haven't u ever seen a typical American movie plot?

"The Rorys were the underdogs coming into the AFL GF.. Everyone had forgotten about them because they were not mentionable because of their strange name... However the Rorys decided that it was up to them to protect the name of "Rory". None of them had touched the ball until the 3qtr mark in the GF... From then on the 3 Rorys decided to merge...

They became the Thory.. Anyone that came near them felt their hammer of a tackle n was not able to get back up... as the last quarter went on the opposition dropped one by one. With 30 seconds to go at a centre bounce the opposition kicked it into their fwd line.. Rory the Laird controls all of the opposition using his "Sand Attack" blinding them from touching him.. he then kicks to Rory Sloane who uses his "Hypnotise" to distract the opposition midfielders allowing him to hit Rory Atkins on the chest.

The siren blows...

Rory Atkins uses "Focus Energy" to kick straight through the middle.. The Crows win the 2014 premiership...
