I remember in the early 2000's channel 9 used to screen it around 3:00am every now and then. Every week I'd scan the TV guide to see if it was on & set the VCR accordingly.

Could never understand why they didn't screen it weekly at 7:30 on a specific evening. Compared to the dreck they screened (and still do) in prime time, it would've been that weeks "must see TV".

Was a great show but annoyingly they only ever released the first season on DVD (or at least it was that way when I checked a couple of years ago) and Foxtel kept showing the same damn repeats over and over again.


The English version was pretty good too.

The reason that WLIIA works is that all three of Ryan, Colin and Wayne are funny, but each in different ways. Every one of them can be relied on to be amusing.

From there you just have to hope the fourth person is funny as well. Greg Proops was always the funniest fourth guy, even if he's a really shitty stand-up comedian.

I'd say Jeff Davis was the best 4th, he was hardly ever used but he was gold when on. Not taking anything away from Proops though. Sherwood was a touch too hammy and something about Esten never clicked with me.

Absolutely love the show. Colin and Ryan are brilliant.

The only thing that shits me is Drew Carey. He is so hopelessly unfunny but he just doesn't realise it. His "jokes" always get the least amount of laughs but he just reckons he is the shit. Ryan ripping on him is hilarious.
