I've never understood this 'We are the high moral arbiters of upstanding behaviour' crap you lot drone on with it's bizarre, you all have roots at the former SANFL clubs you once supported & you booed, spat & swore as much as anyone else. The only time I've ever genuinely felt fear at a football match was at Elizabeth ffs.

Post as many fan incidents as you like, there's still no comparison between some fans being dickheads and a Crows player being a known racist.

See the thing is, this is just factually incorrect. The Adelaide Crows have a far worse record for attendees being ejected from Adelaide Oval.

There are also far more racial vilification incidents after Crows games, than the two very highly publicised ones from Port fans. Its almost like clockwork the the Adelaide Football Club has to come out and condemn racism after an Adelaide Oval game where an inidigenous opponent plays well.

I really just don't think it's true. How can you sidestep the significance of one of your players racially abusing an aboriginal player, and remaining a cult favourite among your supporters.

That aside, the Advertiser Sport (which I assume is colouring your judgement) does a good job at controlling the narrative. Take the last showdown for instance. One of your fan punches our mascot in the face and one of your players lashes out at a fan. Yet all of the dialogue is about the alleged booing off of Rankine (which didn't even happen).

The hate from Crows fans obviously makes sense and I can understand Collingwood fans not liking the whole jumper situation, but I'm surprised to see teams like West Coast, Geelong and Richmond having over 20% hatred for Port. 55% hatred towards Port for North makes zero sense to me. I'm sure there are individual matches/incidents that explain each of those percentage but it does seem odd to me. I have heard some footy followers say Port are just generally perceived as a bit arrogant.

Side note. Funny to see the two Queensland teams are the least hated in the league according to that survey. I get the Suns because they would probably be seen as irrelevant in a lot of people's eyes, but Brisbane... who went on to win the premiership and had been a top 4 teams for several years before 2024. That's surprising.

The Crows have only played division 2 Finals in their 30 years in the VFA, while Port’s 138 years and counting in the VFA/VFL have played so many finals series that I don’t have enough hands in my family to count…

As a SA born and bred follower of a VIC team I don’t actually like either of the SA teams but I do respect Port more than the Crows which may seem strange as a lifelong Norwood man with family links to the club for generations but I do know plenty of other Norwood supporters who feel the same.

Crows are widely respected by Victorians while Port are laughed at for having tarps on their seats and losing a grand final by 119 points.
Similar to the WA teams with West Coast being widely respected by Victorians while Fremantle are seen as a joke.
