why cant ladhams get a game

i think it is an absolute outrage that chris ladhams cant get a game. he is easily better than shirley, skipworth, mattner and bock .

also why not matty bode.

i think give nigel smart the final game to give him a great send off
hopefully it will be after a 100 point belting over the power.

You can't relate Ladhams to Bock. Different playing types. Bock isn't a midfielder.

Ladhams, however, like Bode, had a go at Ayresy's wife and he's copping it.

Unlike Mattner and Welsh, who have photos of Ayresy with someone else's wife.

Ladhams has been off the boil this year. He hasn't grabbed the opportunity when it was presented to him.

Comparing Ladhams to Bock is like comparing apples and oranges. 2 totally different players who play different positions.

Ladhams is a talent but his form this year has been average. Mattner was better on the weekend than Ladhams has been at any stage this season. Shirley is only one game back into the side and he was OK. As for Skipworth, well he's been dropped.

It's dramatising things to call it an "absolute outrage". At least Mattner and Shirley can win a bit of the footy.

And Bode... I was also mightily unimpressed to see him dropped after racking up seven disposals in his last quarter of football.

Seriously, the ball's in his court. He has the most natural talent out of the group of players that you mentioned, but he has barely performed when playing at AFL level in recent times.

He burns in the SNAFL and has been found wanting in the AFL.

i think by the time ladhams gets in to some form it could be a bit late this season to get many games, its round 11 now and he may not be in form by round 22! that really means no games unless he gets a lucky selection inne of the upcoming rounds.



if he gets into form he wil be a good player though

The problem is that Ladhams IS in form for North Adelaide but has been found wanting when he was given a game with Crows.

I think Ladhams is a good player who is in our best 22 when he is in top form. Sadly he hasn't even looked like it this year. Unless we get some injuries, or players badly out of form, Ladhams will find it tough to break into the side.

He's not playing because he hasn't been prepared to put his head over the footy in the few games he has played.

He is very talented, but he is wasting his career.

I am a North supporter and a Ladhams fan, but his form for the Crows has not been up to the standard of previous years.

You need to pick players on form. Mattner and Bock have been in much better touch this year. Both are taller and have just as much pace.

The problem for Ladhams is that Schuey has now shown some form, pace, toughness and directness on Saturday. If he can keep up his form, being a similar player to Ladhams he will help to keep him out of the team.

If Ladhams is good enough he eventually will find his way back into the side.

Ladhams- as a north supporter think his great but... not hard enough or accountable enough this year when he has had his chances at AFL level and doesnt deserve another crack now there would be a few players above him, eg. mattner maybe not as blessed skill wise but good attack on the footy and reasonable disposal when he gets it! Shirley was easily in our best 22 last season and is a more versatile palyer than Lads!

Bode- is good at finding the footy but shocking disposal! People knock the birdman on this board but i think Bode is right up there, especailly with his game against essendon everytime he got the ball he ran side ways not forwards to start with.. and his disposal was appaling and matched Burton on the night!

Reilly- not mentioned in this thread but.. is in the same boat at these two not upto AFL at the moment, Reilly does get the ball a bit but his disposal is ordinary! Everyone seems to love him but truth be told i dont think his foot skills are great and he needs to work on the a lot before he gets into out team, the amount of turnovers he had last year was ordinary and costly!

Not me. I've never been convinced. Went to war against this entire board when a Johncock vs Reilly poll/thread was set up in early 2003 and I've come out looking like a champion.

Brent seems too upright and jerky to me - similar to Eccles... a way a footballer moves is a great indicator as to how he'll go over his career IMO.

couldn't agree more...especially with Bodey..too many chances...needs to be moved on IMO only of course...b happy as larry for him to prove me wrong! i've been hoping he would but ive given up holding my breath...

unfounded and unfair i think...only my 2 cents worth tho! he hasnt (thru injury and other players form) been given a go as much as i would like yet...im not saying he is a superstar or will be but i think he has shown enough to warrant a bit of time in the seniors...and i disagree with his disposal...it hasnt been all that bad...there are worse...

well u cld choose from Rutten, Schuback, Hentschel...obviously moron, Reily made more of an impact in the minds of the football dept...and thru injury he didnt play many games...i do believe that Stiffy Johncock won the award in 2002..default was it? two differently players i know (and Johncock has more talent no question) but ur being unfair with no fact...

I do agree with you that Ladhams is better that Mattner, but not Shirley. And definitely not Bock or Skipworth! Firstly, Bock is a tall forward, and Ladhams is not. Shirley is a tagger/midfielder and can play defence, which would be why he's in. Skipworth is a midfielder who can play forward and back as well (he's really versatile), and he deserves to get some games, after the form he's been in. And I have NO idea why Mattner's in, but it's safe to say he's GONE! He has no talent at all, and he's a bit slow. A dumb footballer. Matty Bode should get a game soon. And Ladhams has been injured, with his ankle, and I don't think the Crows want to take a chance on someone who's not fully fit right now, you know. We NEED some wins, so they want players who are fully fit. But Ladhams is definitely better that Mattner. The only thing Mattner's got on his side is that he's got a bit of height.
