That is the good thing about football, you can judge them any time you want, the thing is you shouldn't be harsh early. I wasn't harsh, all I said was that Palmer was better than Dangerfield and at this current point in time going by stats, watching him etc Palmer is better at this stage of their careers. Whether that changes remains to be seen, but I would rather have had Palmer than Dangerfield at #7 in the 2007 draft. Call me one eyed if it makes you feel better, but it has nothing to do with that as I am never biased, just realistic. End of story.
I agree, star is an overused word, but if you watch as much of Adelaide as you say you might want to consider editing your post. We have a highly disciplined gameplan that doesn't rely on having the great players of the comp. It relies on solid execution, and players who have patience, which we have. To even label Tippett, Dangerfield, Otten and co as average players is a disgrace, go back to watching your mob more instead, it might hope clarify a few things for ya.

hmmmm lets see because Adelaide is another non Victorian side to enter the comp in the 90's ?????
Cats and Saints = 1 flag since 1990.
Adelaide 2 flags since 1990 and respect from the AFL community. (One night flag, brownlow, coleman medalist, norm smith medalist, numerous all Australian's etc etc)
Adelaide has never bottomed out or tanked our culture dictates we never want to go down this path to cheat the system in order to grab good draft choices.
One if not the most successful clubs off the field.
The Crows since 1990 have achieved almost every possible conceivable award in the competition except from a Rising Star award, as we dont tank it makes it hard to obtain many top 10 draft choices doesnt it?
Copy Adelaides formula at the very least you will consistently play finals footy !
