Now someone plz tell me two days out from a final, why does Trav decide to go on the Footy Show, when he hasn't made an apperance at all this year on the show. The guy gotta play a game in two days and travel to adelaide and his appearing on the footy show....

even though i might seem harsh i just don't think it should be going on this time of the year.... both brown and fevola aren't playing finals so they can go there but why cloke....

Lots of players like the light hearted boyish nature of the footy show as a distraction and a release. I don't think Trav being up a lil past his bed time will hurt and don't see the issue.

I've got no problem with Cloke going on at all, though I don't share your favourable assessment of his media skills.

My favourite two guys, based on what I've seen, are Chris Dawes and Medhurst. Dawes is clearly a "Simpsons generation" kid (like many of us here) and Medhurst is a surprisingly smart guy who is also hilarious. Have a look at his B&W episode, for example.

In terms of professionalism, Fraser, Burns, Wakelin and even Presti are all pretty polished at this stage.

You're right he could relax a bit more, but I think that will get better with time!

Last week I watched Before the Game and I've gotta say most of the timeI watch that show I sit there and think "not as funny as what some think" but last week Wakes had me hurting.
If he doesn't do media when he retires, and I mean something a bit like triple M it'll be a shame.
Very quick and knows his stuff.

I saw an interview with David Cloke a while back. He was saying that Travis had to undergo major reconstructive surgery on his mouth/face. He said it was very intrusive, and Trav had a hard time coping with it. So maybe you should reconsider next time he speaks and you have the urge to laugh.

Might have been a cleft palate or something.

He did have to have a jaw op but I think he has always had the lisp. Unless he/you were referring to a previous op when he was younger.

Either way to that other poster get over it. If you talked the way you type people would think you're...."special" and not in the good way.

Yeah apparently they had to break his jaw, saw some of it off then stick it back together again and wire it... sounds pretty heavy... something nasty like a facial reconstruction... but it wasn't a footy injury either I don't think...
