Bradley will be a good footballer for us but Kane tenace will win a brownlow one day it really f@cks me off when they come out and say that we need midfiedlers with pace and skill and we draft bradley. Tenace will be be a champ. I think we need to look at trading some good players to get a good midfielder and off load some of the crap off our list like Aaron the dud Henneman. what does everyone else think.

Good big players are invaluable. You don't realise how badly you need them until you don't have them. Unfortunately, they take ages to develop. I am quite happy with the Dons picking up Kepler and look forward to seeing him develop into an exciting player in the years to come. He showed glimpses of his potential on Friday night. If a club can take a gamble and develop a champion tall player, it is a massive bonus. I'd take a good big player over a good little player any day. Stanton and Dyson are two up and coming potential mid-fielders who we can gradually add to the mix anyway.

And how much would Tenace have helped us this year?

I'm not convinced Bradley was the right pick, but I don't necessarily think Tenace was the right way to go either.

We picked up Stanton, Nash, and Dyson as well, so we have no lack of talented young midfielders. But we do need to look at drafting talented young talls with Fletcher and Wellman nearing the end, and with Lloyd and Lucas past the midpoint of their careers. We'll probably look at one or two more talls in this year's draft.

Kepler`s first thought is to handball , this is a sign of a bloke not fully confident in himself yet. I`m like Dan ,quite happy to sit back and watch the boy blossom.

Given his handballing skills and kicking skills, I'm happy that he likes to handball more often. :D

Huh?

In other words we missed Lucas on Friday night.

Bradley will be a trully good big player for us in 3-4 years. While I was happy to pick him up I can also understand the frustration of missing someone like Tenace (I would be surprised if he picks up a Brownlow tho', mind you look at Woewoeful!).

This draft we need to ignore the talls and focus on some quick midfielders and a couple of in & unders. I'm not too worried about our long-term midfield as we have some youngsters already: Stants, Dyson, Winder, Watson, Reynolds, Nash, Haynes, Walsh & Bullen. None of them stars yet but give them time & confidence and we will see what happens.

A couple of those guys are just unlucky with injury otherwise this year might not have been so bad. IMO Sheeds has been a little "hamstrung" (sic) due to the injuries to some of the players he expected to be up and going so far. He has been forced into using Joey more than planned & to kepping Solly & MJ forward rather than using them as pinch hitters as was planned.

If we can get injury free and a solid pre-season then our midfield will not be so bad next year. (I would happily trade Winder, Bullen, Walsh & Reynolds to the Weagles for Judd tho' :D )

I'm glad we took Bradley. We have a good group of young midfielders coming through with Dyson, Watson, Winderlich, Stanton.. we have only a handful of young talls with Bradley and Laycock, Cartledge, Richards and Hunt. I say, trade for fringe midfielders of the likes of Alvey, and try to nab a solid tall in the trades if we can, but without giving away too much as the need is not great as of yet. 1st pick tall, 2nd pick tall/midfielder depending on what is avalable, and last 2 picks midfielders.
The young talls look good coming through, Richards looks settled at CHB, Bradley looks like he'll come good but can't hold a key position yet - play him on bench, Lucas CHF Lloyd FF still have years left, the hole in the side is fullback with Fletcher ageing, and this would be one of the main reasons Bradley was taken, another potential fullback option... but to me he looks like he'll be a better forward then defender so we still need to find a fullback. this season is gone as far as premiership aspirations so i say throw someone back there, be it Hunt, Bradley, Richards and play Fletcher either forward or preferably on second/third tall. we need to see if anyone is capable on our list ATM before rushing to fill it

A gun, over the past 2 weeks is 2nd in our goal assists... cant be doing to much wrong, simon blacks first instinct is to handball, so that isnt always a bad thing. Plus he isnt afaird to use his frame, note bump on Campbell, give him 2 AFL preseasons and time in the gym and watch him blossom.

i'm thinking that you're insinuating that the eagles will want to trade Judd for bradley...SHIBBY

its the perfect match - both will hopefully be feeling excessively homesick and will want to return to the place at which they were born. you are a f@cking genius. You should run for PM - i'd vote for ya

I think juddy will stay in perth but if he wants to come home then we will have to give them more than just bradley

someone who has nothing to live for will have to ask then

Perhaps we should unban Macpie so he can ask?
