no mate.

How many 6'7" Mr.Olympia's are there?

Arnie was 6'2" and won like 8 times or something

How many men are 6'7" ? Probably less than one in a hundred...
So maybe we'll get one winning Mr Olympia sometime in the next 100 years.

Btw someone who is that tall obviously will have to lift heavier and eat more than someone shorter but its all relative

Brilliant footy brain, clever, quick, agile, great kick and brilliant hands.

On the downside, he's currently built like a twig and has a small lung capacity.

He'll build up - it'll just take time. he is only 19.

It is important to note as well that he plays deep forward. So, the lack of lung capacity doesn't make as much of a difference. Though, the lack of size/strength will continue to be a big issue till it improves.

Has anyone noticed the amazing way some players seem to bulk up so quickly.
I can recall West Coast players in the very late 80s at the end of the season and then in the beginning of the next season looking completely different - huge upper body development.

I have noticed that to alesser extent in more recent years although some Collingwood players may be approaching that category.

Is it just hard work and top gym work?

it was goodddd asss drugs maynnnnn :D

there that should solve your anguish over your 1992 and 1994 losses.

its called a diet and programming. a lot of afl teams were semi professional when wc joined. wc were one of the first teams to actually hire proper medical staff and proper training facilities hence providing results.

a lot of hard work in the gym and viola - big muscles....

maybe so but for serious muscle gain you're better off playing one of these

I don't think it has been noted, but it is also important to note the difference between strength training and hypertrophy training.

Hypertropy is increase the size of muscle fibres and helps give a more bulky appearance. Strength and power resistance training is achieved differently and thus alot of AFL players may be training with different goals assigned to them.

Most AFL players would likely have the capacity to put on significant muscle mass if they had the dedication.

BUT...I think also that some people are overstating the importance of drugs anyways. In any case, you have to put the hard yards in the gym.

Well after a troll thread that has actually lasted 11 pages and been reopened after 2 years, my only query now is whether it is coincidence the OP has highlighted two teams in different eras under Malthouse (it was 91 that the Eagles had the spotlight put on their 'sudden' physique changes. Was it a Malthouse troll all along?
