Will Ed Barlow play the next 2 games?

Am I the only one who thought he had an absolute shocker on the weekend? He wasn't running hard at all. His speed of disposal was terrible.

Not as good as his first game, Collingwood may have been more aware of him than the Lions and made sure they pressured the kids disposal more. It was not a game to set the world on fire but I was not upset with it.

I was there and thought he was horrible. 7 disposals for 6 clangers or something? Definitely was a night to forget for Cheese.

May be very unlucky to be squeezed out if Tadhg gets himself fit, but he deserves to play his first final next week.

It's going to be very hard to fit Hall, Buchanan and Kennelly back into the side that played today (if I had my way it would be Bevan, Mathews and Dempster that depart, but I don't expect to get my way). A nice problem to have.

What a difference a week makes. This time last weekend we'd have willingly dropped 19 of them. (And one who "earned" his spot after last week's game missed today.)

Ablett's injury will make one spot easier to clear.

Bevan is about as safe as anyone other than Goodes, Kirk and B2. And I thought Dempster was impressive out there today. There's no point rushing Kennelly in for the sake of it. He looked proppy for the first couple of weeks after he came back last time. It wasn't until the Saints game that he started to look more confident in his knee. It would be great to have the fit model back but I don't think a half-baked version would add much to the outfit we saw this afternoon.

I have no idea what Paul Roos is going to do. There is a small part of me that doesnt want Hall to play against Collingwood as i think his injury is hampering his performance too much. It would be extremely hard to dropped Dempster or Barlow as they both played really well today. Im not sure about Kennelly but i dont think he will play next week as he wonty be fully fit. It has to be asked wheather Buchanan is in good enough form to be automatically put back in the team in expense for Dempster or Barlow and in my personal opinion he isnt.

EB certainly deserves to play finals. It will be the greatest exp of his life, but he isnt a leader yet and needs the team to perform so he can hit his own potential. I'd be dirty if Dempster got dropped again, but not surprised. Hes been unlucky. Buchannan is inconsistent, but when he is 'on', hes very very handy to have running. Those who said TK is no good unless fully fit, are correct. And like all of us, we want Hally there, but we know the reality of where he is at. Tricky. Its gonna be a gamble with the swans, as its been all year. who knows, i think even Roosy flips a coin half the time.

Very excited about The Cheese! Amon will come in for Ablett (assuming no more freakish miracles from the medical staff) and Eddie will play, Hall for Demspter. But if Ablett pulls up I'd say it'd probably be Dempster and EB/Bevo to go down. Bevan has been one of the most improved players on the list since his return. Can't see him going down now. Only height matchups might give Dempster a berth. But Barlow realy provides us options the lenght of the field - he even filled the FF position for a tick on the weekend, and pushed forward for a goal. So I'd love to see him retain a spot until Tiger returns.

Barlow just seems so much more potent an option with LRT and Leo back in the side. I was sitting there on the weekend and you could really see how much structure we've been missing all year without that big, blonde mobile CHB! Goodey's role transformed, and almost never had to push back, exposing a few Hawks around the breakdown in the middle big time.

Pies could be in for a shock this week. :thumbsu:
