It feels like that J.Brown will go to any club that offers him more money. Would we have enough room in our salary cap to fit in J.Brown??? or would Collingwood(scum) be in a better position to snap up Brown..

Thoughts guys?

I just thought I should help out the first poster, who was obviously watching the footy show.

This guy is Jonathan Brown --->>believe almost everything he says...

I started a thread saying that Fev was going to Brisbane, it was deleted. This thread is pondering the same thing in reverse, with our star forward. It remains.

Nice objectivism Carlton moderators. Put the pizza down for a moment, haul the gut over to the 'puter and restore my ponderances, dammit! Rooney!!!!

However, back to the point, Brown's addressed this issue, he'll be at the Lions.

Can't quote word for word, but the crux of what he said was that "I'll give Brisbane the chance to sign me for the rest of my career", in an interview a couple of weeks ago on the footy show.

Whatever happens, he looked deadset uncomfortable discussing his future tonight. Juddy was the same, don't want to talk about it till seasons end. Look where he ended up.

Lets play spot the Judd

The Judd case really shouldn't be cited as the model for many things. Including body language.

So you're telling me that what J.Brown said on the Footy Show tonight convinced you that he will stay with Brisbane for the rest of his career? That is wishful thinking.

My insight. Brown struggled to answer the question on weather he will be playing for Brisbane, he highlighted that he likes the club, but showed to enthusiasm on re-signing. If he was without a doubt wanting to stay in Brisbane he would have just come out and said it and put all the rumours to rest.

Fevola on the other hand signaled his desire to stay, he has been here since he was 17 and he said he is just waiting on the CFC to present a contract to him. He said he does not want a one year deal.

Totally agree with you Thy. He showed no intent on re-signing with Brisbane, struggled to answer the question on weather he will stay at Brisbane, his answer "err umm, im not discussing it"

Baaa Baaa!

He's already said in about 10 other press conferences that his manager and the Lions are putting the deal together, and that he isn't planning on discussing it openly.

You crying already? don't deney it, what happend on the footy show tonight would of tore the hearts of every Brisbane supporter in the country, your superstar's inability to put a straight answer to the question regarding his future.

There was no theatre in it at all for the TV show was there:rolleyes:

No. If you cared to actually read what I said, I (quasi) quoted the one time he DID address the issue, about 3-4 weeks ago, on the footy show, where he said that he would give Brisbane the number one chance to have him, that he'd give them the chance to sign him for the rest of his career, that he believed in staying with the club you play for (not something very heard of down at the hodge-podge that is Carlton, with it's mix of drafts, recruits from other clubs, salary cap rorts and kidnaps).

Good to hope, though, Blues. You did get Judd, the club tart that he is, and you do play for the First Draft Cup each round 22, so.....must be plenty of pride down there.

Inability, and choosing not to repeat himself again are two very different things..

Point being this is on the Carlton board, don't come here and bag our mods!! We are discussing a point between carlton fans!

I would expect the same result if i posted this topic on the Brisbane board!!

Which board are you on again? What do you think would happen if this thread was started by a Carlton supporter on the Brisbane board? If you don't like our rules, you are welcome to post elsewhere.

FWIW, you started a thread that said Fev leaving Carlton. He did not say that. This thread asks the question "Will J Brown stay with Brisbane." Can you see the difference?

Gee, you Brisbane girls get really defensive when it comes to your superstar Mr J.Brown. Oh and Duritz, we are quite proud at the moment sitting 11th on the ladder just below your mob, and have no intentions on slipping.

have no intentions on slipping.

Intentions are immaterial. Do you think Melbourne had intentions of being ordinary this year, and hence succeeded?

The only time intentions of being ordinary have been successfully implemented is with the 2007 wooden spooners.

I wouldn't bother stirring up this hornets nest Duritz. Its their board, let them fantasize about our players in peace.

We all know where JB will be next year. :thumbsu:

Think you'll find that was Richmond. Relevance?

I don't think carlton would be able to get him anyway recruiting superstars is very rare, probably 1 every 10 years you'll get a judd deal done.

Difference between judd and brown is that JUDD was desperate to leave that rabble of a club west coast, bad atmosphere, missing family in victoria, drug infested club (although they've cleaned it up now) you cant blame him for leaving.
I think brown is pretty comfortable at the lions but maybe his desire to come back to Victoria might lure him, his Victorian through and through.

Posted in the Brisbane forum -

Word is (according to Alpha magazine) that part of the renovations to Browny's pad is a salon, as his fiancee Kylie is a beauty therapist and she will work from home.

Doesn't sound like the actions of a couple who are unsure of their plans.

As to the wooden spooners - yes OK you guys 2nd last. Doesn't matter, point remains the same.

Going to be an interesting game on Sat night. I've had $300 on the Lions at +39.5 points, don't actually think that's the most likely result but think it's more likely than the $7 on offer indicates.

Anyway, best of luck Blue baggers, just not too much this Sat night thanks.

Are you calling Richmond tankers or are you just dopey?

All you little lions hopping madly around this thread seem to be acting awfully defensively. Geez, IF he was to leave, you guys would lose ALL credibility the way you're carrying on at the moment.
