I think that this might be a danger for us this week and even though Roo might make an appearance next week we are not playing at our best and we are just scraping in and managing to get the four points these last couple of weeks.
Melbourne on the other hand are due for a win and although they haven't worried to maney teams so far they are getting some players back and that's a problem as far as i'm concern after all they have to win a game sometime.
What are your thought's.

I think EVERY game is a danger game... the minute you start thinking its a walk-up win, it's a safe bet you'll probably lose. Craigy takes every game seriously - sometimes the boys do not. Losses to Essendon and Collingwood at home this year I think has forced the boys to face their attitude when playing in dead-set easy "thought they'd be" wins this year. Melbourne are due for a win. We have ongoing injury concerns and some underdone players. We will need to play better than yesterday to beat the D's.

CROW36, i agree it's a danger game but i reckon we are on an a gradual upward curve of performance now, with another 3 players getting their first games back against Carlton (Stiffy especially will be better for the run, though Reilly was great and Porps contributed when needed).

Having said that, Melbourne are improving (on paper) and wont be easybeats and Griffin will be a huge loss given his input in the ruck and option up forward (especially given Maric' poor form yesterday, according to those who saw him).

For mine:

In: Ricciuto, Maric
Out: Torney (2 weeks ago would have been Doughty or Jericho but they have lifted), Griffin

If Mattner gets suspended then it would be Massie in, unless balance dictates a specialist defender comes in, then it would be Hinge.

Richmond, Carlton and Melbourne. The 3 bottom sides in consecutive weeks.

Close wins in the last 2 weeks with no guarantees next week.

The fact is it's pretty even this year (do we say this every year?). Even Richmond at 0-9 are a pretty decent side IMO.

I would breathe a lot easier if we came out and flogged them by 10+ goals but in reality a 1 point win will do.

going to be one hell of a danger game !

hopefully the dees beat the WB this week and get that winning thing out of their system now:D

Hee hee, good one!
Yet another 'danger game'? I think the comp is more even this year than any in the past. Any side can beat any other side. But let's have a look at our 3 losses. Essendon was a shocker and we looked as though we lacked drive and purpose in that game. Freo, we were on a hard road trip and lost by the barest of margins. Collingwood, we were coming back from that road trip. For some reason sides often lose after returning from the west. Makes you wonder how the 2 WA clubs win so many games with the ks they travel.
We might have just got over the line the last few weeks, but I reckon we're travelling okay given the amount of senior players out or carrying injuries.
Thought Hudson had his best game of the year yesterday, especially as he carried the ruck almost the entire day. Bigger and better things to come from Huddo this year.

Everyone kept on saying Richmond was a danger game, then Carlton was a danger game, now Melbourne is a danger game. Is any other match not a danger game?

In my opinion on any given day any team can beat another team, sport is very unpredictable but really we wont know until the day.

Don't have a heart attack - the Mattner omission will be for suspension, I reckon he will get one week for his "trip". If he doesn't, then it is going to be a very unlucky player who misses out for Ricciuto. As much as I hate to say it - one of Jericho or Porplyzia will have to miss out, who both performed extremely well against Carlton. Or perhaps they may even give Roo another week. Will be very interesting to see.

I'm more confident against Melbourne than I was against Carlton! I had some bad feelings about the Blues game, and we were good enough to scrape over the line with a solid performance. We always match up very well against Melbourne, and will again next week. Positions 3 to 10 are very even, and we must win these games against the bottom sides. And we will.

Adelaide by 26 points.

Every game is not a danger game, that is just going way over the top, what a load of crap.

Iam kinda nervous about melbourne. But last year we dominated them, so maybe its not a danger game. It seems Adelaide kinda struggle against the lower teams, i dont know why.

We really need griffin, White will be running a muck otherwise. I hope Roo plays though, put him at Full Forward along with welsh, that is a strong combination.

Disagree totally with Torney - he was moved onto Heath Scotland in the second quarter and absolutely shut him out of the game as well as taking quite a few saving marks in defence and was one of the few in the first half that provided some decent entry into our forward area.

Out: Griffin & Doughty (still dont rate him, been at the club for a number of years and hasnt gone up a level in the side)

If Ricciuto comes in and Mattner is not suspended who would you drop and why?

it would have to be an adjustment in the forward lines and Edwards is not playing well this year - has been very up and down and shown at times a lack of desire to chase. He started off badly, played a couple of good games and yesterday was not 'on' at all. But I don't think that will happen, but he would be the one I would drop. Logically it would be Porplyzia but he played well yesterday and no way would you drop a guy that had just come in for one game, Jericho also provided good work. I will watch the replay and get back to you.

With Captain Roo back there is no way the Crows will lose and there's no way Roo would let them lose!! Roo will fire the crow boys up! and hopefully put on a show at the MCG!

Guys what if Burton is fit? what do you do then? Surely he's in the best 22!

We generally match up pretty well on the Dees. Mattner out will mean that we may be a bit short down back, although I dont think the Dees are overally tall down there. I think it will be very close, however we should end up on top.

Ins: Roo, Maric
Outs: Griff, Mattner

Will be interesting to see what happens if Burton is in (probably Jericho)

Burton will have another week off, I think.

You're honestly suggesting that Edwards should be dropped before Porplyzia, Jericho or Doughty? I know he's been carrying a bit of an injury, but come off it.

I reckon we almost talk ourselves into having tight contests with bottom ranked teams sometimes. We talk about how even the competition is, how we have to be on our guard, can't take anything for granted, mustn't get ahead of ourselves, danger game etc then we shit ourselves and play badly.

We should stop the politically correct jargon and be brutally honest - we're playing against the bottom team, we're getting closer to our best line up and we're going to hammer them. Big time.
