Wimbledon & Friday Night Footy

TV guides are saying at 11pm on Friday night, Wimbledon switches from Seven TWO to Seven.

If the footy starts at 8:30pm on Friday night, most games finish around 11:30pm on TV.

Surely they will finish the footy before switching to Wimbledon, but will they continue the tennis on Seven TWO until the footy finishes, or is there going to be a gap from 11pm until the end of the footy where there is no tennis?

Footy takes priority. It will be on 7Two then switch over to normal 7.

I am asking what will happen as the TV guide is not so clear.

Seven currently have Wimbledon being listed at 11pm on Friday night.

My EPG has Wimbledon starting on Seven now at 11:05pm.

What is going to happen tonight? Currently the AFL broadcast will run for 2:35 hours, which is not enough for a full game unless they cut out half-time and the pre-game crap.

The half time break was shortened to about 10 minutes, and they will likely cut the post match and cross to Wimbledon seconds after the final siren goes. EPG has the footy ending at 11.04pm

Yeah they did some editing to fit it in.

Why they couldn't have just started Wimbledon at 11:30pm on Seven as it would have saved them some hassle.
