I've said it many times before and I'll say it again, an injured Nadal is better than any other injured player. He is just incredible when he isn't 100%. The mental strength he must have to fight through an injury is unrivalled.
One of the most memorable moments is when he took a set off Wawrinka in the 2014 Aus Open final. Most players wouldn't have been able to continue let alone take a set off Stan.
But last night's effort probably eclipses that one. Two sets down, injured, comes back to win despite still having his serve broken numerous times. What a warrior.
Before this tournament I had Novak as the GOAT, but last night's effort has tipped the scales slightly in Rafa's favour. I understand not everyone would take performances under duress or injury into account, but that's why everyone has an opinion and an arseh*le. These GOAT arguments aren't based on scientific evidence. They are based on perception.
I don't take issue with anyone claiming any three of Rafa, Novak and Roger are the GOAT. Obviously you can mount a solid case for all three based on how you perceive it. Some people take factors into account that I don't (I.e. Novak being selfish off the court). That's fine. I take only on court performance into my criteria.
Sore loser right here. From memory aren’t you a little Federer fan boy? He's always injured Nadal. Always injured, yet winning 4+ hour physical battles. Only Nadal has injuries.
Funny how so many people fall for it time and time again.
No.Sore loser right here. From memory aren’t you a little Federer fan boy?

You are exaggerating. Tennis players often refer to their niggles, soreness, playing through pain etc but how often does Nadal claim he might not be able to play their next match? No.
Just observant of Nadal and injury talk throughout his career. He's an athlete, athletes carry injuries throughout their career, often while playing at the top level.
I'm comfortable with my opinion on Nadal and his injuries. Injury talk with rafa has been consistent throughout his career. You are exaggerating. Tennis players often refer to their niggles, soreness, playing through pain etc but how often does Nadal claim he might not be able to play their next match?
Their clearly was and is an issue and it’s not a case of him making something up for dramatic effect.
Fabio Fognini? The biggest w***er on tour offering an opinion that no one is interested in.I'm comfortable with my opinion on Nadal and his injuries. Injury talk with rafa has been consistent throughout his career.
Fabio Fognini last night on Rafa said that he thinks Nadal was not injured vs Fritz: "He fought for 4+ hours like crazy. You should not believe it."
on thatI don't read much into Nadal's injuries either, he'll probably come out and play another 4 hour marathon tomorrow night.
You not going to get $3.50 for Rybakina to win a match again. That was the most complete performance of her career. Only had one shocking game all match.
Kazakhstan v Tunisia in the womens final.
That's sad. Rafa is my favourite player of all time. Congratulations to Nick. Let's see if he can win his first Grand Slam.Boy oh boy Kyrgios is in the Wimbledon final.
Rafa has withdrawn!
not faking, just soft and overplays everythingThere'll still be some claiming Rafa's faking
