In what has been a poor year for Winders and a career best year for Simpson, Winders isn't too far behind him. Nuff said.
For a bloke who's been touted by some on here as more damaging he's kicked 1 goal for the year as opposed to 11. Statistically speaking this year has been Winderlichs best as well (bar goal kicking efficiency). So Simpson has had a better career and season to date.

Simpson has been better this year no doubt however Winders 2009 outweighs Simpsons 2010. Probably not statistically, but on impact, definately.

If Winderlich's season 2009 doesn't outrank Simpson's statistically .... then I suppose all we're left with is your 'unbiased' perception of impact in order to judge who's season was superior?

I'd think you'll find the majority of neutral supporters would agree with me when I say Winders 2009 is above 2010 Simpson levels.

I rated Winders 2009 season extremely highly, as did the umpires awarding him 10 votes (equal highest at Essendon). Had we won a few of the close ones he may have scored higher Simpson had 5 votes FYI.

A great example of Winderlich's best is the Dreamtime Richmond game where he absolutely tore them to shreds.

I've highlighted the bits that are irrelevant to this argument.

Umpires votes and performances against Richmond to measure superiority? LOL

Even a perennial Carlton troll in Hodgepodge agrees that Simpson > Winderlich.

Ok that's fair enough, checking his '09 possession wise he was worse off but his goal kicking efficiency was a lot better. Is he playing further upfield this year or something?
