There's been plenty of great Cup rides over the years,eg Dittman on Gurners Lane.
What is the best ride you've seen to win the Great Race?
Without talking through the pocket,I'd have to say Wayne Harris on Jeune in 1994.

How he got that horse to settle on the paint is a miracle.
No-one believed it would run a strong 2 miles yet thanks to a brilliant ride it won running away.
Great rider,how good we'll never know but to come through all the setbacks,a very emotional victory.

Darren Beadman's ride on Saintly was a gem.

Got him to settle midfield and had him asleep, then when it came to the crunch he just gave him a bit of rein and he bolted away from them.

Pity we never got to see the best of Saintly.
