"Selfie" is bad enough, but it's starting to be used more and more for photos that just aren't selfies. For instance, some article where someone was rescuing a trapped animal or something and managed to get a "selfie" with it. Even though you can see both hands of the person of the person and someone else clearly took the photo. It's a ****ing photograph, not a selfie.

People in football circles overusing the word 'farce' to describe anything they simply disagree with or doesn't make sense, as opposed to a situation that progressively gets out of control.

Same with 'jumped the shark' used to describe something that has passed it's prime, as opposed to describing a ridiculous, clutching at straws attempt to vivify that which has passed its prime.

Kind of OT but my English teacher incorrectly uses two words all of the time and today I finally snapped and earned myself a detention:mad::(

She always says "I could care less" when she really means "I couldn't care less.":confused:

And the other is "Do it again and see if you can't make some improvements," surely it's supposed to be "can.":confused:

She's been teaching 9/10/VCE English for over 20 years:eek::eek::eek:
