Poor old Scott Russell's Diahorrea episode at Waverley.

A bulldogs Reserves player in 1990 at Waverley the day the Pies and Eagles drew in the qualifying final. The reserves game was 30 seconds old and we were standing on the front row of seats eating a pie and drinking the first beer of the day. It was then, in the members side pocket at the big scoreboard end, we hear a sickening scream. A bulldogs player, I forget who, reels out of the pack in front of us screaming and in the most pain I have ever seen. We look at his knee and can see immediately it was dislocated. Later heard that every ligament was completely snapped. I know he did come back and play senior footy but it took him over 2 years. Huge effort that. Anyone remember him and his name???

David Cloke broke his arm at Vic Park one day against Fitzroy I think. Completley snapped just above the wrist.

On TV - Barnes arm, Voss' leg, Osbournes knee, Harvey's knee - all sickening.

The best seen was Denis Banks on Rhys-Jones!!

There's 3 that immediately stick out.

Barnes how his arm didn't come off is beyond me and for it to break up high was pretty gruesome, Snell's ankle and if it wasn't for buddha the whole ground would have been screaming just from the sight of it and Darren Cresswell's knee when it popped out and he banged it back into place.

Other's that stick out are Joel Smith's knee, you could see it go straight away, and Grant Tanner went exactly the same way a week later in the same spot

But the worst one I ever saw was Richard Osborne in Sydney the day he smacked heads with a teammate and lay on the ground convulsing.

It's the only time I can remember an ambulance actually coming out onto the ground during a game. Although Geelong won, and it happened late in the game, that's all you could remember from the game.

Jason Snell's was pretty close to the worse I've seen. I was at that game, and the site of his ankle straight after was hideous! And the bad thing is it was that bad he never played a game again, or may never walk without a limp again. :(

Richard Osbornes sickening head clash at the S.C.G many years ago didnt look to good as he was convulsingon the ground for quite a while which resulted in an ambulance taking him away

Graham Wright didn't look too good coming off Princes PArk after John Ironmonger pile-drove him into the ground.

Lee Walker ad bloody nasuem as well.

Jarrod McCracken getting spear-tackled at Olympic Park rd 15 2000 Storm v Wests Tigers didn't look good at all.

i was sitting right near were jason snell broke his ankle and it was horrendous but the biggest memory i will have of it is the look of shock and absolute agony on his face. i remember the stains from scott russels diarrhea episode so that would have to be the funniest.

I think you might find that was Adrian Campbell.

Jamie Lawson's broken leg which ended his career and Daryn Cresswell's dislocated kneecap - both in the same game.

One was vs Richmond at the MCG and the other was away at Geelong. And they were at least 2 years apart as well.

Yup. 40 metres behind the play.

Good on ya Jim, you filthy pig.
StKilda legend.

The funniest was Mick McGuane's injections into a groin injury - trying to kick the ball was just hilarious.

Richard Osborne's knee was the worst knee injury I've seen. It was sticking out at right angles.

David Cloke's broken wrist/arm.

Jason Dunstall's head injury that forced him to wear that stupid helmet.

Illnesses - St. Kilda it's just inbreed when a player joins the club and takes a while to get over. look at Joel Smith took him 2 years.

Robrans on was the worst injury wise follwed by james hird's face injury this year - cresswells was funny

Illness wise - Alistair Lynch with the CFS easy! He has done an remakable job to comeback from it

Lawson and Osborne from Sydney were both sickening to see.

Luke Toia's fall after going for a mark, which broke several bones in his neck was fairly horrific.
