This pole is based on team's reputations at the trade table. Who is the worst team, in your opinion, to trade with?

IMO the better teams are Geelong, Adelaide, Sydney, Port Adelaide, WCE, Brisbane (this year ;)) and I think Richmond are usually fair..

The teams which I think are the worst are:
Essendon (want a 2nd rounder for a prev pick 42, who played 5 games this year in a bottom 3 side. Talking to players who are contracted at other clubs behind club's backs - speculation)
Calrton (Genuine pig-headed trading club, will not accept 2nd rounder for Jacobs who has walked out, judd deal, warnock deal)
Hawks (Pelcen - enough said... Notoriously hard man to deal with)
Collingwood (Ball debacle last year)
Poll Away!!!

Essendon looking pretty unreasonable atm
Blues play hardball but trades usually go through in the end
No point in looking for a trade with collingwood IMO

Geelong are too fair I guess, recently we've been bent over on just about every trade we've made.

Hawthorn have to be the worst, wouldn't trust Pelcen as far as I could throw him.

I know the Tarrant thing is fresh in everyone's minds, but really Collingwood? We ended up doing an okay trade with Freo and the Ball debacle was definitely not our fault.

I think we generally seek good trades and some clubs (Carlton, St Kilda) refuse to deal with us respectfully.

Why would Essendon want to trade a player for a 4th round pick when they only plan on using 3 picks in the national draft? Doing this would not only be pointless but it would also hurt in the PSD meaning Richmond could go for another player other then Houli. If anything Richmond are the ones being unreasonable.

At one point during the Luke Ball debacle, you were even refusing to trade us Jarrod Blight, who is currently without a spot on an AFL list. Thats why.

For me it is the Hawks. Their deals (ala Burgoyne last year) seem to always drag out the full week, and get done in the last few hours - or sometimes not at all.

Plus Pelchen gives the perception he drives a hard bargain - but IMO often costs the Hawks big time, just look at what was paid for David Hale - that deal was way skewed in North's favour...

How you can put Carlton up there is unfair as. Jacobs and Grigg wanted out and they both got trades to there clubs. Walker wanted out and we tried our best to accomodate him as well. Geez.

Collingwood, Hawthorn, Carlton and Essendon lead this poll  Probably the four most despised clubs for one reason or another.

Me thinks people are just voting for the club they don't like....

The Eagles may have won the Judd trade if they had have drafted Rioli and Pears to complement Kennedy.

Pears is a better defender than Schofield and McKenzie.

Suban, Bucovaz and Ruffles for Warnock and O'keeffe was a fair trade.

Trading a first round pick for Mclean was a fair trade.

So let me get this straight...

we are pig headed for no accepting pick 33 in a compromised draft for Jacobs... initially... but we are also bad to deal with because we ONLY gave pick 24 and 56 for Warnock....

In other words... Carlton should've given pick 6 in a strong uncompromised for Warnock and take pick 33 in a compromised draft for Jacobs and shut up... did i do that right?

Why should we lose him for anything less?? Their best offer was 35...

If you believe Andrew Walker is worth a 1st Round Pick then I suggest you seek medical advice.

Darren Jolly was worth Pick 14 in an uncomprimized draft. You're clearly delusional if you think Walker is of the same worth.

Not sure about Essendon, but Collingwood has a history of doing the dodge when players have nominated them (ala Stevens, Ball, Tarrant), Carlton have highly over-rated several players who want out of there club and Hawthorn last year were working on players last year as early as June to seek trades to them.

It was pick 14 and a 3rd rounder if i recall correctly...

And Jolly was 28, out of contract and wanted to get back to Melbourne...
Walker is 24, in contract and was open to go anywhere...
Unless we got handsomely rewarded... why would we rip ourselves off???

"The dodge"?

Oh, you mean like requesting Alan Didak for Nick Stevens?

or like Collingwood offering pick 30+player/s for Ball, only to get Ball for less than what was offered in trade terms?

Or like how Collingwood and Fremantle secured a trade for Chris Tarrant?

For the record, Jolly was still very much contracted to the Swans for another few years.

Definitely not Carlton and St. Kilda.

One caved to Adelaide under the mildest pressure, and the other gave us Luke Ball (premiership player) to us for nothing. Both really very generous and a pleasure to deal with.

Would trade again A+++ :)

Jolly was contracted. Fail 1.

It's not a matter of being handsomely rewarded. It's about fair compensation for a player, who is a borderline player at your club. If you think he's worth a 1st Rounder then you need to ask TheGeneral for directions to Kew Cottages.
