I've enjoyed the other prediction thread but it has strict guidelines on which predictions you can make, and I am a Peacock, you gotta let me fly.

So what's caught your eye so far this pre-season? If you think you can sense something a little bit special or not so special then whack your balls on the table and make your prediction public. If your predictions come true you go down as an immortal in Bigfooty history, if not then you will rightfully be ridiculed forever and ever.

Here are a few of mine for the year:
  • Ben Reid will play 20+ games this year.
  • Travis Varcoe will finish top 5 in the Copeland.

Why?

Righto if this is for ultimate Bigfooty immortality I'll make a huge, incredibly unlikely call.

2007 will repeat itself in that 2 teams that finished outside the 8 in 2014 (2006) will play off in the grand final in 2015.

The Geelong team played by Collingwood.

And Port Adelaide played by the West Coast Eagles.

How I believe this will happen?
All of Geelong, Hawthorn, Fremantle and North will drop off as finals come around due to injuries to experienced personnel, this obviously being due to the age of their lists, every year usually one or two teams drop off around finals due to injuries to older blokes (2014 Geelong and Fremantle) next year i predict those four teams will.
The other teams like Sydney and Port will be defeated in upsets, both teams s**ting themselves in front of goal.

Collingwood will show shades of 2010 as our hungry young team suffocates opposition teams with premiership winning defensive pressure, with new players like Freeman, Varcoe, Greenwood and Crisp excelling in the art of defensive pressure and whilst after a slow start to the season, we'll hit our straps hard in the 2nd half and win the flag by a huge margin. Our team obviously won't be the most talented or skilled, but pure determination and pressure will get us over the line and thus starts a new dynasty.

At the end of 2006, Geelong and Bomber Thompson are rubbish.
At the end of 2007, maybe they aren't so rubbish.

At the end of 2014, Collingwood and Nathan Buckley are Rubbish.
At the end of 2015......

And yes, after we win the premiership next year, i would love a statue in my name, preferably gold.

(Few side predictions, After we slaughter Brisbane, Beams will pull a Goddard and have a bit of a cry in front of the cameras, also the second time we play Richmond we'll slaughter them by 150 points, sending them into a new age of complete turd)

Ben Reid won't be fit for round 1 so how the hell does he play 20 games?
Varcoe might finish top 5 in the Copeland but if he does no way in hell will be in the 8.

I think i'll hold off on the statue until next year when we've won our 17th premiership, and thus having an outright lead on the AFL premierships tally list :)
Oops sorry, I thought you'd forgotten we were in the new year:eek::rolleyes:

Marsh will be a regular in the seniors by mid-season.

Wittsy will maintain his upward trajectory.

This will be Harvey's last year as an assistant coach with us.

The new 'Community Centre' at Olympic Park will be a major hit with the fans.

Daic's eldest boy will become the new 'Darcy Moore' FS obsession.

Swanny will be AA again and make us wonder why we forgot so quickly what a champ he is

Fasolo and Elliott will become a potent pair of goal kickers both going above 30 for the year and giving us a multipronged attack

Ben Reid and Trav will do the same as big forwards.

DeGoey to play 10+ games.
Adams to find his feet.
Lack of height in midfield combatted.
Langdon to continue where he started.
Karnezis to finally debut and kick 25 goal season.

Kicking skills to become a bigger issue in 2015.
Cloke continued to get a rough go with the umps.
Lack of mature ruckman a issue.
Fasolo foot problem still chronic.
Reid in trouble.
Another player wants to return home.
Bucks under the pump.

Patrick Dangerfield will be awarded the #36 guernsey at Collingwood, after Dane Swan decides to go out with a little something left in the tank.

That's very optimistic of you, turning over a new leaf?

Well Tex has been named captain of the Crows so maybe there is some substance to Danger already making up his mind.
Would love him to be at Collingwood... But not in the number 36.. Swanny to stay on after a great 2015 season.

* Broomhead top 5 in the Copeland
* Adams to play his role (Luke Ballesque) to aplomb. many rub there hands together at what a great get he was for a player just about done after 2015.
* Witts & Grundy win plenty of their battles on the field, helping us win quite a few games.
* Cloke to get smoked by the Umps again
* Steele to give AA a nudge
* Karnezis to play plenty and become a valued goal kicker for us.

We have a 2007 Geelong style season. After failing the season before we start off slow and stutter to 2-3. Everyone calls for Buckley to be sacked. Something clicks, and we go on a 13 game winning streak. We finish the season 18-4 at the top of the ladder.

Slowish start to the season but showing some real potential, massive ramp up towards the end of the year and well in contention come finals.

Reid to play
Swan to show us why he is a Champion
White to have a sustained impact
Grundy and Witts have massive seasons, establishing a decade long ruck partnership
We all wonder what we did before Freeman and Broomhead were around
Karnezis will establish himself in our best 22
Pendlebury gets even better - Brownlow favourite
Elliott makes the AA team, along with Pendlebury and Swan (Reid in the squad)
Promising first year from DeGoey and Moore with some limited senior game time

Collingwood will win over some of the "so called supporters", but not all of them unfortunatly, some will continue to bag us.

Pendlebury to break Swans Brownlow vote record.
Surely the umps have to stop underpolling him one of these years. He will also kick 25 goals.

Elliot top 3 in copeland.
Whether he gets more mid time or not, he is ready to explode. He will also win both mark and goal of the years, I just feel it.

Sidebottom has a better year than Beams.
At Collingwood Beams had Pendles to cop the tag, but at the Lions I expect him to outrank Rockliff(terrible disposal) and also Rich. He copes well but it will take it's toll. Sidebottom will back up his 2nd place in the Copeland and will kick more goals, average more contested possesions and move into the super elite efficiency category(already elite).

Seedsman to lead the league in bounces.
Pretty self explanatory, he will become our best winger and will have a terrific inside 50 kicking efficiency.

We will demolish the Lions in Round 1.
50 - 100 points, we will be primed and underrated. They will be complacent and lack chemistry. Cloke will rip them apart.

Cloke 70 goals.
Was dominant in 2011, okay in 2012, dominant in 2013, okay in 2014, Will be dominant this year and will maintain it into his 30's. Will get better service and will not be overused. The Cloke dynamic finally gets worked out under Bucks.

We finish between 4th and 6th.
And somehow fly under the radar, Bucks avoids heat but also avoids praise. We don't dominate but we have a healthy 124% and are seen as a medium threat in the finals. We make it to atleast the prelim, don't want to ruin the result for you so i'll just leave it there.

The Collingwood era has begun early.
