Anyway, back on topic. I wonder how the lions could get some of the intensity around stoppages Zorko demonstrates into Rich. We need Some of Rich's disposal to rub off on Zorko, and Zorko's stoppage/inside work to rub off on Rich then our midfield will be gold

Anyway, back on topic. I wonder how the lions could get some of the intensity around stoppages Zorko demonstrates into Rich. We need Some of Rich's disposal to rub off on Zorko, and Zorko's stoppage/inside work to rub off on Rich then our midfield will be gold

Not so much in the stoppages, but in the half of the game I saw I thought rich showed a lot of desire to get involved in the contest and use his body to bump opponents off the ball. Not something I remember seeing from him that often.

yeah I noticed that as well. It didn't always pay off but I liked the intent. Too often in the past he let people have a easy run in his shadow. Its great to see some aggression creeping into his game

Just about every talented kid plays midfield at junior club level. You put your best kids around the footy. Sam Mayes was one of the best 16yos in the country. Of course he played midfield at junior club level. Just as I, as a no-talent, slow hack, played an awful lot of back pocket.

So true - i played with guy who was an onballer at our local club but when h got drafted to Sydney became a full forward. Shame Lockett was there at the same time. He ended up being a very good full forward in te VFL in the end.

But from the back pocket we saw the entire field POBT, (i'm sure most of my junior coaches would concede I was a thoughtful spectator for a good portion of most matches) it is what makes us such insightful analysts of the game.

It's called genetic engineering.

We get Dan Rich and Dayne Zorko genetically tested, and let them both breed. Whichever of their children have the strongest occurance of those genes, they breed until we get a young male with the required skillset.

Do it in Pokemon all the time.
