At this stage of his development I'm very impressed with the way he carries himself.

He's a first year player that has slotted right in at the highest level. :) That's the exception, not the norm; I just shake my head at his temperament, he's just a kid!

In 2-3 years he will be stronger, faster, and better able to run out games. Lookout.
I think he will be an Ollie Wines type he is strong through the hips and has a dip, even if he is only half as good we have done well there

Freeman appears to have below average football smarts and his instincts are not great. He also looks like Tarzan and plays like Jane. I'm more worried about these traits than any long term injury concerns.

I have heard Buckley say that freeman doesn't yet understand the weapons he has at his disposal. Hopefully it's just a matter of him discovering his potential however the early signs arnt great.

Maybe if he got on the park he would understand his weapons

For mine De Goey has shown little bits of star power. That mark against Freo and pass to Jarryd Blair. His ability to read taps and presence around clearances which he has shown from the Richmond game and the whole game against Hawthorn.

Like Jessie white does? Some athletes can learn footy smarts others can't. The club took an educated guess with Freeman and we will have to wait and see if they got it right.

I remember before Freeman done his hammy he looked comfortable using his speed. Looked a touch slower at nab challenge this year.

Why do we need all these photos?
Because they are much more enjoyable than reading another tantrum where someone throws all their toys out of the cot?

Keep up the good work popin

A photo of De Goey in the distant background chasing Dustin Martin is worthwhile? How does that actually add to the discussion?
Well it has since we are now discussing it.

Check out the chase on him, only Collingwood player in the pic who is applying pressure :rainbow:

Hine did say he has great scope for improvement. He has given us the glimpses into what we are to see from him once he has 3-4 full pre-seasons under his belt. He is a natural ball hunter with the smarts to go with it. JDG will be the general in the midfield for us for a long time.

Thought he was solid yesterday but just went missing late. Would hate to see him go back to the two's, just offers way to much to the team, prefer playing him as sub for a week or two to recharge.
