Am i the first to notice we have 3 away games in a row towards the end of the year? Granted 1 is here against freo but an away game is still an away game

Who is the better forward out of Lycett and McInnes?

If they think it's McInnes, will they be tempted to go for something like this:

NN - 60% ruck
McInnes - 30% ruck
Gov (playing mostly in defence) - 10% ruck
Not after Simmo's comments about Nic Nat's back soreness, I can't see them playing him as the sole specialist ruckman. Lycett will have a big year I reckon, people have short memories, everyone was raving about him during 2014.

Good point. I think that's how it will go.

Although we could easily get him enough time resting forward or on the bench with McInnes and McGovern.

Just watched the 7 news report on Benny C. Interesting to see Glassy back at the club but surprised to see that he hasnt been given a coaching gig. Would be a good defensive coach.

Strong chance he chose to step away, I cant believe we (or another club) wouldnt have offered him a role if he wanted it.

Yeh, I could see them going this way if Lycett is injured, but otherwise he'll play every game. I reckon most teams will play 2 genuine ruckmen if they can this year.
The thing I want to know with our ruckmen is how the hell not one of our coaches over the years has taught Naitanui how to lead for the ball. He tries to sit behind his opponent all the time in the hopes of jumping over the top of him but most of the time he's much quicker than them and a small lead would get him a heap of easy marks. I honestly can't remember one instance of him leading for the ball and taking a mark, I mean it must have happened at some point but not often.

he had some leadership/defensive coaching role at the crows. He didnt do it fully last year but i assume it was due the travell and relocating his family. should try again at the end of this season. Groom him and coxy for the top gig, incase simmo in the future moves on.

For anyone who is interested Fox footy channel will have a full day of West Coast games this Sunday. Ideal if you recently had to do a full system reset and lost all of the games saved on your hard drive :(
Im in like Flynn

I really dont get where Mcinnis ruck hype is coming from.
Sure mcinnis would be a better forward but he will lack the size/height to match it in the ruck. He is close to untried as a ruckmen at AFL level as he was only in the side to replace Darling and WAFL form doesnt mean alot for him as the level of competition at WAFL level isnt that great at all. Sure the thought of having a forward/ruck sounds good but Mcinnis isnt a player like a tippet/jenkins/dixon as all them players are over 200cm's and around 105kgs.

Lycett is perfectly suited for the back up role for as he has a great endurance, Can play forward and most importantly more than hold his own gainst the bigger name rucks of the comp (unlike sinclair did last year). Only injuries will prevent lycett from having a positive impact this year.

Did you say McInnes or Sinclair? Could say the same thing about him the last couple years. His wafl ruck stats are solid in comparison.

A distinct lack of 'to be honest' in that Simmo interview. Wonder if it was something he's been working on.
