A decent injury list all things considered.

Would be really nice to have Kreuz and Walker fit and firing, but they are expected back relatively early in the season.

Unfortunate for GWS to lose key forward (Patton) and WC to lose key defender (McKenzie) for the whole season. That hurts.

Injury List:

Gibbs (shoulder) test
Giles (foot) indefinite
Kreuzer (foot) 4 weeks
Sheehan (groin) 2 weeks
Walker (knee) 2-3 weeks
Warnock (shoulder) test
Whiley (Achilles) 2 weeks
Yarran (virus) test

Carlton vice-captain Bryce Gibbs is set to play in Round 1 after recovering from a knock to the shoulder.
Gibbs was rested for the Blues' final NAB Challenge match as a precaution, after suffering a shoulder stinger in the win over Collingwood.

Meanwhile Matthew Kreuzer has seen a specialist and will be out of his moon boot next week.
Kreuzer is on track to make a comeback early in the season after a setback in his return from a foot injury.

Yarran an Warnock should be available for round 1 also

Only two major players missing (Walker/Kruez) really.

We should roll the tigers.:D

So looking forward to getting a look at Whiley in action if he ever gets over his perpetual 2-week injury. He looks great in the highlight clips but being very susceptible to injury might be his achilles (sorry, it's late). Also, good to see Foster isn't on the dreaded list anymore, so that means he should be lining up for the N/Blues when they play next, right?

All depends on how much damage has been done to the tendons and socket. No badness - 6 weeks-ish? Badness - few months?

******* shithouse either way. We finally get Daisy fit and raring to go and this s**t happens within the first 5 minutes of the season. I can't believe that bullshit. s**t s**t s**t s**t s**t.

Poor bloke is about to have a kid this week too. Won't even get to hold him comfortably :(

http://injuryupdate.com.au/injury-shoulder-dislocation.php

"Sometimes the shoulder can dislocate and relocate with minimal extra damage, allowing players to return within weeks. On other occasions there is damage to other structures, such as the rotator cuff tendons, biceps tendon or axillary nerve, which increases recovery time. On occasions where conservative rehabilitation fails to restore an appropriate amount of stability a shoulder reconstruction may be required."

They were able to pop it back in again quickly. I dont know if that is a sign that it wasnt bad and there was no additional damage. Geez I hope so. Gutted.
