Midfield needs a shakeup. They can't get the clearances. It was same situation last year even with Mundy, but it seems even worse now with JOM. You can blame the forwards as much as you like but it all starts with the clearances and how effective

Jackson has to be dropped. Tabs too, he's clearly not 100%, and it cost us dearly tonight. Hughes shouldn't be in the team unless there are lots of injuries.

Sturt, noddy to come in with MJ or Raz as sub. I'd almost be tempted to play Tracey in Jackson's role as the ruck/forward. Some might not agree, but I think we need Walker's run and dare off of half back.

Other observations:

• The midfield as a whole isn't working hard enough.
• You can't play a possession game based on kicking if your players can't execute basic skills and mark the ball.
• Jaymie Graham needs a rocket up the backside. The forward line is completely disorganised and impotent.
• David Walls' team can go and uppercut themselves. They've done a decent job building this list generally, but they've only used 2 first round picks on the forward line, throughout the whole rebuild.

Could have Lockett, Buddy, Ablett Snr, Bartlett, Milne and Cyril as our forward line and we still wouldn't beat a decent team the way the ball is being moved in there.

A change up in the forward line is needed but unless the delivery to said forwards improves we'll finish second last (can't see anyone losing to Hawthorn).

Give Johnson a debut and hell, give Erasmus a game and just tell him his whole job is to follow the ball around and win clearances. Don't care if he goes at 50% DE.

Drop Sturt into the stagnant pond that is our forward line and tell him to go all 2016 US election and start draining it.

Tell all the players if they take a mark and immediately chip sideways/backwards, they'll be put in stocks and displayed on the cappuccino strip for the locals to pelt with rotten fruit next Monday morning.

Tell all the players that anyone who hits a leading target in the forward 50 gets a full hour on the waterslides next Monday morning.

Replace the tea lady, apparently she switched to Tetley's at the start of the season.

Tell Tony Galati his oranges aren't cutting it - switch to half-time baked potatoes for the energy boost.

Start it all over and for god sake kick some goals. We don't care if it's a 100-110 loss at this point.
