They've been rotating the talls out of the team. Looks like it's Wood's turn this week. Wouldn't read too much into it.

I would love to see Ceglar (or Witts) debut next week against the Giants and rest Dawes Reid or Goldsack. Maybe Reid as hes had a few injuries this year and is so important to us.

Nothing against Wood but if we are looking to the future heres our chance.

Here's the final side.

Collingwood
B: J.Thomas, Paine, Ugle
HB: Yagmoor, Sundberg, Cribbin
C: Wallace, Didak, McNamara
HF: Smith, Witts, Buckley
F: Stubbs, Wood, Hellier
Foll: Gault, Clarke, Rounds
Int Cathcart, Riddle, Ferraro, Sundberg, Hine

Clarke and Buckley playing (they were emergencies) however the other emergency Caolan Mooney is not playing. Late change for the seniors?

Sitting up behind the goals in Sherrin Stand with mattys123 and TD

Good start by the Pies though dreadful mistake by Rounds gifts Box Hill their opening goal

Pies lead 9-7 after goal by Paine

1/4 time:

Collingwood 2.5 (17) vs Box Hill 4.5 (29)

Goals:
Collingwood: Paine 2
Box Hill: Tobin 2, Lowden, Gilchrist

Paine scored first goal of the game in opening minute, very good kick from a free from JT at half forward.

Rounds looking lively again, possible senior call up if he continues on stringing these performances together. Got called for holding the ball in the goalsquare which hands the Hawks their first.

Paine slots his second from a McNamara kick. Paine marked on a very tight angle 50 out and slotted it straight through the middle. Paine's looking fantastic.

Didak has been good in his comeback. Still figuring his way around but has been positive so far.

Probably needed to be infront by now, with our jittery 2nd quarter pattern. Let's just wait and see how this one pans out though.

Buckley and Clarke not exactly demanding their spots back.. Both would want to start showing something if they want to play next week.

1/2 time:

Collingwood 2.5 (17) vs Box Hill 14.8 (92)

Goals:
Collingwood: Paine 2
Box Hill: Tobin 3, Lowden 3, Pratt 2, Litherland, Hodge, Bailey, Hill, Bateman, Gilchrist

We're getting monstered in the last kick into the forward line. Box Hill are dominating in there taking marks left right and center, we need to improve our delivery or slow it down to wait for more of our players to get free in there.

Yet again we got 2nd quarter blues...

We're really feeling the loss of Kris Pendlebury our captain. The backline isn't functioning well.. The leadership on the field down there is missing too.

Its really disheartening to see the boys getting absolutely smashed like this.

It's arvo. So used to saying night. Not often we get a sat arvo game at the G.

Got smashed everywhere that qtr, killed in centre clearances and lack of tall defenders hurts. Shae copping a belting at full back.

Then when we get the ball in the back pocket, we switch play from one pocket to the other going back and forth about 5 times before coughing it up.

Sorry to go off topic guys, but for you guys who get to the VFL games is Shae any chance of staying at Collingwood next year?

That was a shocking second quarter. No intensity and we lacked the ability to either get the contested possession, or use the ball when we got it.

Dave is right again our second quarters are terrible. Will probably leave here at three quarter time and head tp the g for the big game.

Didak should be right to go next week vs gws.
