I think the AFL needs to look at all of these blockbuster games and add some flexibility. Maybe that is a grand final replay, or giving the slot to one club rotating the other based on appeal, but then don't be afraid to take that game off the club if their status falls.

Won't happen though, it's either reward the top few or prop up the bottom, even some of the big Victorian clubs are only big when playing other Victorian clubs (Hawks 20,000 supporters vs GWS at the MCG). Give Good Friday to North Melbourne/Carlton and its just another game on a new day so don't lock it in forever.

There was a suggestion that games could be played at twilight and an evening game as well.

What they should do as you suggested, is not lock it in but have it rotated around so all states have the opportunity to watch/attend the match on Good Friday over a several year period.
