Sorry can't agree.

Essendon can be attractive place for potential recruits it all comes down how you sell the club.
Its hard for bottom 4 teams to recruit top end talent.

Free agency/trading was meant to help struggling clubs but it has not worked out that way with the good sides becoming stronger.

2015 - bottom 4 teams picked up Tom Bell, Josh Walker, Daniel Currie, Craig Bird, Sam Kerridge, Matt Rosa, Jed Lamb, Andrew Phillips, Lachie Plowman, Liam Sumner, Ryan Bastinac, Matthew Leuenberger, Jarrad Grant, Daniel Gorringe and Matthew Wright.

Just for that hope he kicks a few nice sausages against you this year :p

Though he could easily be up in the stands eating sausages as well. I'm backing our club to find a role that he can play that will result in a few goals for him this year.

You seen grant before?

It's doubtful he even eats

See you at Essendon Jaegs

Why would he go to Essendon? I'm not trying to be a smartarse here but from all reports there will be a lot of players leaving after their suspensions, leaving them pretty talentless. Why would Jaeger go to a club that that has treated its players horribly and looks likely to be bottom dwellers for a long time?

I don't think Essendon will chase him will cost too much which ever clubs does get him though will be paying through the roof.

Purely for bargaining considerations.

Clubs who have already traded out their 2016 1st Rounder:

Collingwood
Geelong
Carlton
Melbourne

Clubs who have traded their 2016 2nd Rounder:

Fremantle
Richmond
Port
Adelaide
Brisbane

Geelong have their big fish.

Collingwood have Treloar. However, Swan might go. Steele and 2017 1st rounder + sweetener might get it done.

Carlton and Melbourne have probably closed the door on themselves.

Pies wont get him Sidebottom will re-sign and Swan will be too old also cant see the Pies giving up anothet first round pick.

Bargaining power doesn't really matter. It will be the same as every other trad, JOM will say where he wants to go and whichever club he chooses will come up with something to satisfy GC.

Also not sure why people think he'd cost too much? He's a proven player with a long career ahead of him. Comments about his knee are just guessing

It's a bit of a chicken and an egg situation. A player rarely nominates a club unless they can be reasonably certain of getting there, i.e. the destination club has the trade assets to get something done. Otherwise your name might as well rhyme with Orange.

He wants to go to Victoria apparently. Let's look at the Victorian club possibilities (purely from draft pick perspective):

Carlton: Have both 1st round picks available to trade, possibility
Collingwood: Traded their 2015 and 2016 1st round picks so have to keep 2017 1st round pick unless they get another through trading. No.
Essendon: Have both 2016 and 2017 1st round picks available to trade, possibility.
Geelong: Traded their 2015 and 2016 1st round picks so have to keep 2017 1st round pick unless they get another through trading. No.
Hawthorn: Have both 2016 and 2017 1st round picks available to trade, possibility.
Melbourne: Have both 2016 and 2017 1st round picks available to trade, possibility.
North Melbourne: Traded last year's 1st round pick, can only trade one of the two they have max. Unlikely.
Richmond: Have both 2016 and 2017 1st round picks available to trade, possibility.
St. Kilda: Traded last year's 1st round pick, can only trade one of the two they have max. Unlikely.
Western Bulldogs: Traded last year's 1st round pick, can only trade one of the two they have max. Unlikely.

So that leaves 2 definite outs unless they get another through trading. Melbourne are apparently concentrating their efforts on Prestia and are unlikely to be able to get both. Carlton and Essendon wouldn't be too attractive right now. Leaves Richmond, WB and Hawthorn. WB will likely be more interested in a KPD or ruck. Leaves Hawthorn and Richmond.
