Position: Rounded, goal-kicking mid.

Why: Even though I think Patton is probably ahead of Coniglio in the race for the #1 pick, giving the pressure that comes with the pick number to a midfielder, and one likely to have an instant impact, over a key position forward that may take a couple of seasons to flourish is a smart move. As you would expect of a top 2 pick Coniglio doesn’t have any real weaknesses and as he has shown with Swan Districts, particularly last season as a 16 year old, is capable of playing forward with success.
