A few notes from that last video.
- How much did West Coast stuff that up in the end. The last minute is just a case study in football idiocy.
- Josh Kennedy trying to take a speccy over his teammate's head, takes both him and his teammate out of the contest, giving the Lions possession.
- Merrett then kicks the mother of all hospital kicks into the forward 50, bouncing off a weather balloon on the way down. West Coast have time to get numbers to the contest but no one does, leaving Mitch Brown in a one on one.
- All Mitch Brown has to do is make a contest with the injured Brown and bring the ball to ground and he has decent position in which to do so, instead he chooses the worst possible scenario in which to try for a dive, and costs his team the game.
- We are pretty critical of umpires, but the umpire in this case deserves a massive wrap for not falling for the dive in the heat of the moment. As much as slow-mo revealed the extent of Mitch Brown's dive, in real time it didn't look great at first and it would have been very easy to blow the whistle and give the home crowd what they want. Kudos!
- Watch Rich jumping around like a lunatic straight after the final siren. Whatever love he once had for West Coast is now long gone. He was pumped!

Cheers LD, watching the videos again, absolutely great to see the boys at the end of the match really pumped up from the win. Even though we only just beat the Coasters, hopefully this gives us some confidence coming in for this rounds game.

Cheers Lions_Den, great vids. Agree with TBD, West Coast could easily have won that but Kennedy was an idiot and they should have put more numbers into the contest.

Didn't notice it at the time, but the noise/cheering the crowd makes when Browns goal goes through is astounding for an interstate (WA) game. Big wrap for the Perth based Lions fans and those that made the trip.
(Maybe there was a few Freo supporters cheering for the West Coast spoon)
