The last 10 minutes saw some nice plays from Sinn, who showed good initiative to intercept in our forward half a couple of times and surge forward.
Lord missed a set-shot which would have sealed it, then Scully the same before he made amends. Then Teakle with a third set-shot miss from our tall forwards, all within 30-40m of goal, all after taking marks.
It’s good that those guys got involved but to convert only 1 out of 4 relatively straight forward shots when the game needed closing out, from marking talls is not good enough. Sinn also sprayed a running shot from distance which although not easy, you’d love to see him kick.
Overall, good signs though. The group has gelled well. Guys like Moore, Montgomery, Kirk and Szust hold their end of the bargain up. Mead is good at this level, even if his AFL career looks dead and buried. Burgoyne is a good, young wingman. Definitely has what it takes. Sinn showing snippets - no more - but something there. Narkle very reliable. Jackson looks a talent.
