Port pair in SA Football Hall of Fame

So it is the SA Football Hall of Fame, thought it was odd as the players listed didn't play much SANFL.

So they are going to add players from the two AFL teams, to be eligible do you need to be SA born?

Will Danger and Boak be added? And what does the SANFL have anything to do with the AFL clubs anymore.

Screams of SANFL trying to stay relevant. Might have been a good Hall of Fame back in the day but IMO its turned to s**t now.

How are the Gowans in, you may as well add the entire Port and Crows lists for the last 10 years.

Primus is a Victorian.

LOL, So we have the SANFL inducting Victorians who play for the two AFL teams which have NOTHING to do with the SANFL.

Hah, is this the most irrelevant "award" possible, just saw that Tim "the Golden Whistle" Pfeiffer was inducted as well - talk about an old mans circle jerking night of back slapping. Mods, Cornes, Primus and Edwards should be embarrassed about attending.

Congrats to the Port boys and the other 8 for there induction.

SA footy hall of fame means anyone who played footy at any level in SA is eligible. Just like the one in WA and the Australian footy hall of fame looks at people ffom all over Oz at any level.

About 5 years ago a 500 gamer country footballer was inducted. I like that idea. I like the Gowans got inducted. Those campaigners stopped the most anti Port teams from winning flags. Thats worthy of an induction.

Adam Hartlett should be inducted just for snotting that hideously obnoxious Sturt fan.

He should be inducted for services to trolling every time the PAFC Facebook page posts something about his brother.

Where they hail from has nothing to do with it. It's not South Australians who played footy hall of fame is it? Having said that i'm not sure how Primus qualified as well as a few others. The criteria specifically says "significant contribution to the SANFL".
For the record Timmy should most definitely be inducted and Phil Gallagher being inducted is not scraping the bottom of the barrel, he was a champion by every measure.

The South Australian Football Hall of Fame enshrines those who have made a most significant contribution to the game of Australian Football.

The Australian Football Hall of Fame criteria is C.S.I.R.A = character, sportsmanship, integrity, record and ability.

The SANFL Hall of Fame page is rubbish. They have the initial 114 inductees in 2002 and have no links to the guys inducted between 2003 and 2012 inclusive. This wiki page is as good as it gets.

I specifically recall the original criteria as stated in your wiki link.

Did Max Basheer almost f*** up Chads introduction? ... 'port power' and Ansett Cup in 2011 ... oh bloomin hell Max - oh well it was an SANFL night so I guess correct details are unimportant. Chad showed awesome class and Matty Primus was brilliant too. Big congratulations to both!

Besides Pfeiffer, all of the other inductees played in a premiership, either at AFL/VFL or SANFL level yet the good old Advertiser runs with the headline "Mods Squad".

Darel Hart mentioning his father (Laurie), what a tosser he was, both of them cut from the same cloth.

I remember walking off a cricket ground with Darel in his youth, and his old man (our captain and umpiring at the time) said to him "looking good for a ton son", Darel did not disagree. FFS he was about 10no at the time. Needless to say I laughed when he got out for not too many more.
I remember when Port flogged North in that Grand final and they had a picture in the Sunday mail of Darrel Hart abusing and looking to decapitate a photographer who was about 5 foot 2/ Big hero he was.
apart rom that good on Chad and the Mattress. Everyone at port still loves him.
