Great opening game - two powerhouse teams that have struggled a bit and would like to think they have turned the corner. Essendon has not cut nearly as deep as we have and their team will still be pretty young and inexperienced. New coach will probably be a bit unsettling as they will be modifying routines they learnt under Rutten. Lots to look forward to - we might even see a Tsatas-MacKenzie face off.

The only good thing about this timeslot is that it's not the 4:40pm Sunday time slot - cos anything twilight is rubbish.

But it's first game of the season - I won't care. I'll be there going crazy with no idea whether we'll win or lose because you can't tell based on pre-season.

Anyone unhappy with a HOME game against a big rival for round 1 will never be anything else.
