It shits me to tears to see Narshingh Deonarine batting at 3 for the windies when they've got blokes like Darren Bravo around the traps

Darren was actually selected but chose not to play due to a personal reasons. Haven't seen the validity of his explanation questioned on cricket forums or the media so I'm guessing it must be legit.
 
Don't see that being enough a motivational factor.

Considering you buy into the whole Victorian vs the rest mentality just about more than any other I've seen on this board, surely you can see the drawbacks of a conglomerate cricketing identity?

Abbott is pretty clearly not a great one day bowler.
Why's he in the WC squad ahead of Tsotsobe, whose ODI record is actually very good?
 
They might win the last game too as AB is being rested but de Kock is expected back. Amla missing hurt SA and perhaps Steyn too but well done Windies.
