The Detroit Pistons thread - Where Motown is being rebuilt by forming a f'in wall, that's all we do

When Josh Smith committed that foul there 4 points up and putting philly on the line under a minute and after that bricking a free throw you'd have to think stan probably wanted to vomit on the court.
Are Jennings and Smith's papers stamped detroit fans?

Who's going to take them?

I cant really see any circumstance where Monroe stays unless we play .600 ball the rest of the year with him and Dre dominating together.

- Get rid of Smith
- Re-sign Monroe (if he's the clear-cut #1 Power Forward, why should he want to leave? No contender is paying him the max)
- Draft Stanley Johnson or Justise Winslow (not getting a high enough pick for Mudiay)

Well, the Pistons were 4-20 to start the lockout-shortened 2011-12 season, with arguably a worse roster and coach, and ended up finishing the season 21-21, so anything is possible. Just can't quite see them being that bad to earn a top-3 pick (unless the lottery falls their way), which is what they'd assumedly need to get someone like Mudiay.

Brandon Jennings this season:

First 10 games - 28.7 mpg, 16.2 ppg (.451 FG%, .432 3PT%, .805 FT%, .578 TS%, 25.6 USG%), 2.9 rpg, 6.0 apg, 1.1 spg, 0.2 bpg, 2.0 tpg.

Last 10 games - 30.1 mpg, 10.2 ppg (.286 FG%, .220 3PT%, .906 FT%, .405 TS%, 22.1 USG%), 2.8 rpg, 6.2 apg, 0.9 spg, 0.0 bpg, 2.7 tpg.

I thought he'd finally "got it"

Pistons waive Josh Smith

The Detroit Pistons on Monday waived starting forward Josh Smith, who has two more years and $26 million still remaining on his contract.

The Pistons will use the stretch provision on the remaining $26 million, league sources told Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski. The provision allows the Pistons to stretch the money owed to Smith over a longer period of time for salary cap relief.

Smith and first-year Pistons president and coach Stan Van Gundy often did not seen eye to eye this season. Smith was averaging 13.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists this season for the Pistons.

Fantastic move by the pistons they need to rid themself of the smith disease. Rebuilding time for Pistons.
