GWS never seems to learn when it comes to trying to avoid taking players who are clearly a flight risk. Everyone but GWS seemed to realise drafting Tanner was a really bad idea.

Honestly I'm not sure why recruiters look at this sort of stuff as a bad thing. All of the best athletes in the world have had some sort of arrogance tied to them, even if it seems batshit insane at the time.

It isn't an Australian thing. In America it would be normal and expected but we look at someone that confident/arrogant with suspicion, or at the very least it makes us as a society not particularly like them. It is why our athletes tend to be more humble, at least in team sports.
